Guys I need help setting up the x6 to send and receive midi from live 8.1

My total set up is a Roland X6 maxed out with dimms, 1GB compact flash card Dell dimension 3000 2.8 MHZ
2GB ram 40 gb system and 300 gb secondary harddrive, lightscribe dvd burner,with a M-audio firewire 1814 and pro tools M-powered 7.
