What SRX-cards would you recommend for some one, who digs all kinds of music. Are there good organs available and are there any places to download free patches, performances and stuff? Are the chargeable banks any good? What would you recommend, where and why?

Ok, first there is a homepage you should visit and it's the roland site.
Find the Fantom X site and there you will find a lot of informations about it plus additional patches and tips (for free). You can also listen to some SRX cards patches.
Then you have this forum where you can find also free patches. You can also buy new patches for your Fantom X from Sinevibes.
Then do a search in the internet for the Fantom X you will find additional patches and more (also for free e.g: www.synthdesign.de).
For the SRX cards:
If you do all kind of music so take a look to those cards:
-SRX-12
-SRX-11
-SRX-09
-SRX-07
There will be IMO a nice balance of all kind of music style. But it's still up to you to decide what you like more. So, if you are more dance music or classical orientated there will be other cards you should considerate.
Special for Organs:
There is a limited SRX-98 card, specially designed for organs or have a look to one of a member's patch creations (for free) downloadable from this forum.
Cheers

Wow! Thanks Man!
I thought 1-12 was all there is to SRX! I was a bit worried about Fantoms organs, but now I at least have something to chase after...Couldn't find them anywhere...How limited it was again?
It appears SRX-98 was analog monster which I absolutely must have too and SRX-97 was the organ expansion. I hope these don't cost two million a piece!
Demos for other as uninitiated as me:

don't forget to download the 1000 free xv sounds.
I also like the SRX 06 card if you like strings and hits and orchestra sounds.

Why didn't anybody mention the Planet series!!??!! I didn't know, that there are V-Synth samples! Thats one of my dream synths! And at the same time that might be a fix to my other MINOR disapointment in Fantom. I thought Fantoms synthsounds were a bit too Euro-technoish(I don't know the correct prefixes for synth-genres.) A bit too heavy on supersaw sh..thing.
What other interesting tidbits does the other Planet series include? Their descriptions were a bit sketchy. Raise my appetite...although I will buy at least the V-one as soon as I get my memory upgraded. Are there any reviews of the sounds you can download to Fantom-X ? Do any of you have any of the Planet series?
BTW, what is the ultimate memory for Fantom-X, and does it matter how fast the memory is? Also what would be best possible memory card?
