Hi to all, I've purchased a new roland fantom xr yesterday, now I'm having problem to connect my mac to this device. I've installed the drivers for the 1.5 osx version, and the 2.10 version of the editor version (the xr has got the 2.2 firmware version).

The XR is not connected, if I go to midi devices I can't find nothing, only port 1 and 2, but nothing about Fantom XR icon...

Anyone can help me?

1. is OS 2.02 not 2.2 ;)
2. do you see the fantomxr midi-usb port? midi in /out?
3. what do you mean port 1 and 2?
4.maybe your fantomxr has the usb set on "storage" not "midi" (system > enter>usb>storage set to midi

Hi,

I've solved the problem. Do a factory reset, then saved the midi setting to usb mode, and midi trough in on mode. After that I saw that my mac can see the xr only if I power on first the xr, after that I power on my mac, and no more problems...

I can't see the reason why you had to perform a Factory Reset. Anyway>, it's just the beginning for you.
Enjoy your new toy !
