I have data that was edited on a Roland SPD-S and wish to dump the samples into a Roland FANTOM XR. Will the files saved onto the compact flash card in the SPD-S load directly into the Fantom XR?
I believe they are .wav files?

they are wav files, but they are not in the same director as it should.
fantom-xr has 3 folder (the card must be formated in fantom-xr) :
Roland (sounds/system/stuff) Backup (where it makes backups) and TMP (temporary working stuff, like importing or editing samples).
In the TMP folder you should copy the wav files in the "audio_import" folder , this way fantom-xr can see them (shift>sampling / menu>import audio files> right arrow to go to card>....)
best way if you don't have 2 cards is to transfer in fantomxr internal memory (16mb) thru usb.
