hope yall enjoyed your thanks giving i know i did. ive been doing a some sampling on my juno, choppin up old samples and assigning them to their own key through the rhythm mode. but its not letting me cutoff the release so as soon as irelease the key, the sample stops. is there a way where i can assign different samples to the keyboard all in one patch? similar too the way you can assign samples to the pads on the mpc if you know what i mean... all feedback is appreciated

Thanks and glad to hear you having a good holiday too.

I've been debating getting an MPC but, aside from the nice pads, I'm not sure it's unique anymore. As to your playback problem, you could either hold the key down longer, albeit obvious, or you could lengthen the Release in the TVA Envelope. ADSR is your friend.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with patch editing and I don't know the MPC, but yes you can use multiple samples. You have up to 4 tones that can be used for each patch/rhythm key. How you put them together is up to you.

You need to go to the patch editor, and set the "release" time in the TVA envelope to the max, for each key which has a sample.

Such as in a drum machine, where the Closed Hat will stop the Open Hat from ringing?

You can do this by using Mute Groups. In patch edit, go to each of the keys that you want to 'override' each other and set them to the same group #. It's in the 'Control' screen(second from the top) in the Pro Edit menu.

Enjoy.
