So, I've had my Juno-G for a little while. It's been such a powerful machine, I've played a few gigs, etc, and decided that it's time for some recording. I've read around but I'm new to this whole recording scene. What do I need to buy for memory and what are the possibilities/necessities with this as a recording tool?

So what do I specifically need to buy to expand the memory? Do I just need the memory card? What can I do with the compact flash card and card adapter?

some links for you in this thread

http://forums.rolandclan.info/index.php?action=show_thread&thread=31299&fid=30&page=1

you put the ram stick in the slot inside the juno-g. you'l need it for sampling/recording
you put the pcmcia adapter in the slot in the back of the keyboard. you'll need it for saving samples and recordings. the on-board flash memory is not all that large.

Any "computer geek" types explored how more memory might be installed?
I seem to remember from the past that there were always ways to expand memory limits... 512 seems a bit low by todays standards

There has been a report of X recognizing 1gig RAM and 2Gb Compact Flash.

512mb is actually nearly an hour of stereo .wav. It's quite sufficient for most conceivable needs, not to mention it takes forever and a day to load.

512mb not enough?!?! as mentioned by dbijoux it's about an hour of stereo wav..... a bit low for what???
Juno-G is not a PC and the only thing limited by Juno's RAM is how much audio can be loaded in it and nothing more.... it will not work faster or anything else with more RAM....

if you can come up with something worth listening to for more than 50 minutes, you may have graduated to a bigger better machine
