I'm running the "G" into a XV5050 and using the expression pedal to control the volume on the XV.... but it also controls the volume on the "G". Anyone know how to make the "G" ignore the expression pedal while still sending the volume control to the XV. (this should be simple.. but its got me stumped)

why not plug the pedal on the XV itself?

oops, I just found out the XV has no control/hold input... My bad :( having said that, why not pass the XV through a volume pedal?...

I don't know what you mean (pass the volume pedal through the XV)...
Unfortunatly... the only "hole" available to plug the pedal into is on the G. At some point (as this mess keeps going) maybe I'll have to buy some sort of midi-controller.... but I'd like to keep it as simple as possible...
I can back the volume down on the G with the volume knob.... (so I can balance the G & XV patch's).. but if I want to cut out the XV completely.... can't do it (the G tracks the pedal)
thanks

(thinking aloud)

So the XV recognizes the volume control from the G? The MIDI is passed through?

Could you assign the Pedal to another CC #?

Then change the setup on the XV to recognize that? ie: Matrix Control on the G

Otherwise, I guess you could plug the XV audio into the G inputs, but that probably wouldn't be any easier than reaching for the XV volume knob.

:/

oops, I think I wasn't talking clear.. Anyways, what I was thinking was: from the output of the XV, to the in of a volume pedal, and from the volume pedal to the amp...
