I recently posted these new settings for reproducing an earlier 70's Rhodes Suitcase (Fender Rhodes) sound. Many have not been satisfied with the GX's factory settings to reproduce this sound. I have found that the Supernatural technology can actually produce a very convincing and nice feeling Rhodes sound. I'm fairly pleased with these settings. These particular settings are not trying to reproduce a very bright sounding Rhodes sound. Its more on the vintage dark side. Let me know what you guys think!

Last night I played a gig in a club entirely with these settings (a jazz piano-guitar duo). Sounded great. I used a single AER AG8 amp, so I played in mono but this rhodes sound fits Ok in mono. I've been trying some variations but your settings make all the key range very uniform and natural. Thanks KPro81!!

That MFX problem you're having, I really have no idea!! I only use the RD as a dedicated stage piano. Sometimes I use it as a controller when I'm using Logic Studio. I'm really sorry soniccream.
However, I hope you enjoy those particular settings. I still use my own specifically voiced Rhodes settings, but I will say that the settings you see are a good start to getting that darker earlier Rhodes sound.

Anything is possible..lol! I have to listen to the track and really analyze the sound. I encourage you to give it a shot! Glad you like those settings above. I've been on a project where I need a Rhodes sound similar to Herbie's sound from the early Headhunter days. I'm almost there, I'm doing some minor tweaks right now. I love the possibilities of the RD. Once you get into tweaking the RD you'll start to appreciate it more and more.

Thanks so much for these parameter settings KPro81! I've been focusing on my primary instrument guitar, but I finally got around to applying them an MAN does my RD700-GX Rhodes sound better - much more realistic.
I just wonder if the new GX.1 firmware and card are going to add any more realism for the EP's? Doesn't the Roland marketing content say there are 17 piano types involved in the GX.1 upgrade?
