Roland Clan Forums > Fantom-G > dashes in Dynamic Pad area after 1.30 update?

I just got a used Fantom G7, and applied the 1.30 update, then did a Factory Reset. In Single mode, if I set the Dynamic Pad mode to RHYTHM PTN, the Dynamic Pad area (below the patch name) shows the mode (RHYTHM PTN), but it doesn't show any other information--all the other fields just show dashes ("---"). I can press the pads, and they play rhythm patterns; and if I press the Pad Setting button, I can select various rhythm pattern sets. But the Dynamic Pad mode area still shows those dashes.

Isn't it supposed to show information about the currently-selected rhythm pattern? Can anyone shed some light as to what might be going on? I tried loading the internal project, but that had no effect.

To be honest, I can't really remember what info it should show in this area.
What did it use to show in older versions? I haven't really noticed this one.

Please, guys...can anyone just go to any old preset in Single Mode, switch the Dynamic Pad mode to RHYTHM PTN or RPS, and tell me if there's anything but dashes showing in the Dynamic Pad fields?

Hi Canadave!

Additional info is shown only when I choose 1/SAMPLE PAD or 2/RHYTHM. All other pad modes show dashes. (Version 1.30)

Cheers!
