Hi, I just turned on my G8 and suddenly there is no sound in single mode, but the sound works just fine in live or studio mode. I cant figure out the problem. Help needed!

Have you fiddled with the system settings at any point?

my suggestion is ither look though the system settings, or failing that backup and factory reset.

Thats whats weird, I havent done anything but playing and sampling. The sound worked yesterday, but now its gone :P I have no clue and I dont want to reset the whole thing..

Marika, do you mean you have switched off the synth and then back on, and did not find the sound you've created? If so, if your patch was based on a sample, maybe you did not save the sample. Remember that samples are saved separately from the patches, from the WRITE menu.

No, nothing in single mode make a sound, its completely silent :D I dont know how else to explain it.

if the unit makes sound in other modes, the hardware is most likely fine. You have a software problem, you can review all your configuration setting, but most likely it will require a system reset. If the cause was operator error, it may be complicated to troubleshoot and reverse the action, as you dont know how it was caused. Good luck, keep us updated to your progress.

Turn it off and then back on, and make sure that in single mode you have "internal" part selected, no expansion or external.

well it is internal mode. and the weird thing is that i can choose between different patches when im in love mode. scheiiseee!

I wish *my* Fantom G had "love mode" :(

well, it just needed a little factory reset :P
