what exactly do you mean by "placement"?

i made a beat using the Fantom G and Mpc and then Playaz circle bought the song from me. That is called a "placement", meaning i have a place on the cd.

is playaz circle a mainstream group? like at least nation wide radio play or are they just local?

would it be out of order to ask (and expect a response) as to how much they paid for the beat? I'm kinda just sizing it up and just wondering what kind of price range people charge for beats and pay for beats before guys go MAINSTREAM....

Yeah its a mainstream group. The album was Executive produced by Ludacris. You can buy the cd at any best buy. They had hit record last year called "Duffle Bag Boy". And for teh payment i recieved 2500 plus royalty points.
THe idea is to get your first placement and then branch out. I did a few mixtapes before my first placement. Once u move up you start to get paid more. My plan is to beable to get involved in video game and movie scoring. I also own a car wash so i dont completely rely on it as my full income.

Congrats man!......some people on the site would probably recognize the term " my first placement" as "got my first cut" (old songwriter terminology from when masters and the tracks on them were actually cut by a machine) , but I knew what you were saying right off.........again congrats and much success!

I just made the beat....so everything u hear, minus the vocals..Playaz Circle writes there own stuff.
