I'm STUNNED, and not in a good way. This is pathetic.
I'll just be happy with my Fantom XR & Motif Rack ES ... maybe see what Kurzweil or Korg are offering if I want a new toy.
Roland just doesn't get it.

Re: Fantom G Now In all "Best Buy" stores
"In the end its all about making music and people going after a dream or love for music. Does it matter where it was bought ?" Maybe, maybe not. It's not hard to see that Walmart carries some skateboards and bicycles ... even firearms in some cases, but there are skate shops and bike shop...

Re: Best Value: Motif Rack OR 4 SRX Boards
The Motif Rack XS is an excellent addon to the Fantom, IMHO.
It just has a different sound character altogether, and compliments the Fantom quite nicely.

<t>I am probably alone somewhat in this sentiment, but I am to the point where I am not disappointed with not getting something "100% Realistic", as long as I get something cool/unique/different in the bargain.<br/> <br/> The old Roland SA pianos did NOT sound "100% Realistic", but they offered a un...

Re: DMX Lighting & the Fantom G7
HogPC has pretty decent facilities for MIDI control. It speaks DMX as well. I used a Korg MicroKontrol as an add-on controller for a while (instead of buying more Hog "wings") and it worked just fine. It was sortof a pain to setup, as the documentation is sparse.

Re: yamaha s90es piano samples download!!
Well, I have a few source of piano sounds, and I like them all for different purposes:
Motif Rack XS
FantomX6
SonicCell
Modartt Pianoteq
Native Instruments Akoustik
I don't feel the need to sample one just to put it on the other.

<t>Cool ...<br/> <br/> I saved the money I had set aside for a new G6 (just not enough reason to upgrade ... too buggy, lacking features, etc.) and was just about to cave in and get an M3 Rack. <br/> <br/> If Roland releases a G-Rack (Fantom GR ?) along with these new cards, that's the deal for me!<...

Re: The coming Fantom G Rack
The main point here is that it indicates that the Fantom G tech is able to be right-sized for a rack application.
Personally, I like the idea of a 1U better, as I want to choose/assign my own control surfaces. I completely understand those who fell differntly, however.

The coming Fantom G Rack
The new Roland/Cakewalk V-Studio includes something called a 'Fantom VS' synthesizer which also has the facility for adding ... wait for it ... 2 ARX type expansion cards.
This indicates to me that a 'Fantom GR' is probably on the horizon.
Please-oh-please-oh-puleeeeeez let this be a 1U device !!!

This best might work OK ... the wheels are in the right position to be accessible when playing upright:

Re: Talkbox setup.
Are you certain you understand how a talkbox is supposed to operate in the first place, lol?
What kind of microphone are you using with your talkbox?
