Re: 90s Pop with Fantom G...
THe Fantom G is capable of doing what you require but you will have to spend (a lot of) time programming it ... I have managed to put a RPS version of Sledghammer into the G7 and it sound great, but it took some time. It is worth spending the time to program the phrases, as you get better at it it b...

Re: What Recording Software Program works best with G6?
I use Sonar X2 with a G7 amongst other kit, it's very powerfull with a lot of features but it's not a trivial piece of software to use.. so the question really is, what exactly do you wish to achieve? If you just want to "Bang Trax Out" you may find it a bit much !

You can completely control the FG from a Laptop by using the FG Editor!
Re: G8 or G7
I have a G7 because as when I was younger I was lazy, but if you want to greatly improve your playing ability get the G8!

Re: Keeping the keyboard clean
I stick mine in the bath and shower it down with a bit of head and shoulders:¬0.. I use pledge, spray the pledge onto a dusting cloth (not direct onto the board) and wipe down, all over, then with glass cleaner, use a paper towel and clean the screen in the same manor..

Re: Having trouble with sounds
Hi Naty, Try loading the midi file into a DAW (something like Sonar LE) that will enable you to edit it, that way you can change the sounds to what is suitable to you (if you use the preset sounds in the FG they will never change ) and also get rid of any unwanted messages that it file may contain t...

Re: G7 & Sonar X1 Producer
Gents, Slightly different topic here... I currently run Sonar HS6 and have had a few problems with latency and bugs with MIDI, I was considering upgrading to Sonar X1 and was wondering if you had any views on how HS6 and X1 compare, have you had any midi issues with X1 or latency issues ? I use Sona...

Re: If your G was stolen or lost would you buy another one?
Without a doubt, and thats not factoring in "The Devil you know" factor... a great machine easy to program, plenty of scope to come up with the sounds I need. I fact I would buy another G7 now as a backup if I had the cash !
