Re: For Those Of Us Who Stuck By The Juno-G

Yep. Mine was new in 09. It has been in the studio, on the road and generally just used as a workhorse over the years. It has been knocked off it's stand and had beer spilled on it at gigs. It has also spent occasional long periods in solitary packed away in a cupboard in the back room whilst I expe...

Re: Can Juno-G transmit control changes?

It will transmit cutoff (cc74) and res (cc71) in perform mode on the selected sequencer channel. You could assign cc90 to either the d beam or a control pedal. Another option would be midi mapping or midi learn within your software or a program to convert cc messages. If you want to control soft syn...

Re: I still love my Juno-G!

Still enjoying my G. I use my laptop and a 76 note controller board for the bread and butter sounds,(piano, hammond, rhodes) as I still don't think Roland does a great job with these but for brass, synth, pad etc. sounds it kicks ass. Not in love with the keybed but it is built to a price and I have...

Re: Problem with MAC OSX Lion

Thanks for all that info guys. I have 3 mac's. One running Tiger and two on Leopard. All my live and studio hardware and software runs nicely at present. I was looking into purchasing a new mac and upgrading the others to Lion but my research here and elsewhere suggests that I may be buying a huge m...

Re: HELP please! Recording Juno-G sounds directly on Macbook

Your setup should work. Check all your audio cables, Your audio settings in Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI setup, Your input/output and track settings in Garage Band preferences, It may sound silly but check your volume/mute settings on the synth, the MAC and in Garage Band. If your 1/4" cor...

Re: Hoe to control fx parameter with knobs or sliders

Could you set min and max cutoff to zero or maybe disable it in the patch?

Re: Not sending MIDI controller signals

You are quite right Michael. It is just not possible. The sliders do not send midi information. They are only for the on board audio recorder. The Cutoff and Res knobs will only send CC 74 and 71 in performance mode on the selected channel. The ADSR knobs send nothing. All knobs in patch mode send s...

Re: What's special about Midi Channel 1? (keyrange)

If your controller cannot send on multiple midi channels then you will have to send the signal via DAW or external sequencer and create the other channels. The key range settings apply to the Juno G's keyboard, not the sound module. Don't worry. You are definitely not the only one using external con...

Re: Just first generation?

Had mine for almost 3 years now and it is a permanent part of my live rig. I gig with it most weekends and rehearse a couple of times a week so it gets moved around a lot. No screen issues (YET) but the Mod/Bend lever went screwy. I swapped it out for the one in my old Juno D (exactly the same part)...

Re: Wireless MIDI - experiences?

Just to give a bit of support to the other side. I have been using the M Audio Mid-air for a few months now and have had no problems other than forgetting to change the batteries.

Cheers
