Re: Problem converting Midi to Audio
<t>You have to keep in mind, that the SonicCell is a hardware synthesizer. So in order to save an audio file, nuendo has to play the midi file to the SC, which in turn delivers back the audio signal. you have to record this audio signal in nuendo before you can export it. in sonar, there is a prepar...

Re: How to change sound in Soniccell in live situation?
<t>Hi champy, <br/> i had the same problem. in my opinion, there is no way around some extra gear. there are a whole bunch of tools like foot-controllers, desktop-controllers, keyboards with master-keyboard-features, etc. this usually means a bit of looking into the midi implementation. i first trie...

Re: Do i need a preamp to record vocal through sonccell?
i haven't used the mic-in much, but as far as i've heard, the preamp in the soniccell isn't bad and you have phantom power as well, so you should be fine. if you really feel the urge to use a dedicated preamp, you can still buy it later.

Re: How to route USB audio through the MFX EQ?
<r>are you sure, the mastering section is enabled at all? in the editor, when you are in performance screen, you can find a mastering switch on the top right. <br/> yet, i'm a bit puzzled, because one time, you talk about mfx eq, the other time about mastering stage, which are two different things. ...

Re: How does thing work with a computer?!
<t>i just stumbled across your "When the midi thru is off, fine, tinkle tinkle." You mean "USB-MIDI Thru" in the systems settings of the SC, right? also look at "Soft Through" in the midi sub-menu. as far as i got it, if you turn this on, everything sent from your pc to the SC over usb won't be proc...

Re: Max polyphony with midi
<r>before buying, i would try the combination in a store. i'm using a yamaha p80 with a sonic-cell and had quite some trouble. i couldn't achieve a good match of the yamahas velocity sensitivity and the sonic cell. in the end, i'm now using a diy device, translating the velocity. <br/> maybe this on...

<t>Hi varsity, <br/> <br/> phew, that's strange. i know, a few people had similar issues with synths with integrated keybed. i'm not sure, what the reason was there. you might wan't to do a search on "sustain" and look what helped them. <br/> <br/> Only thing i experienced with the SonicCell: <br/> ...

<r>I didn't really get, what exactly you want to achieve with the blank channel. or did you mean part there? <br/> I could imagine, that current mfx-settings are always hold in the temporary memory. so if you change the MFX src to another patch, the entire MFX has to be copied into temporary memory....

Re: How to switch from patch to performance through midi
<t>that would be easier for sure. but if i remember right, i wanted to do the same on my soniccell and it didn't work. consider, that when you are in performance-mode, you might want to change the patch of a part with BS+PC. in that case, the part, listening to channel 16 cannot be assigned a new pa...

Re: Splitting all parts across the keyboard with the SonicCe
i'd say, it doesn't need such a switch as it hasn't got any internal keyboard to switch away from. it only can play what it recieves via midi-in or usb. but you can define the key-range for every part individualy, so i guess it will work for you

Re: I don't understand how to save system parameters
I guess, your MIDI INST button is lit, when you enter the menu? then you can only write the performance. press the button until it goes out. if you go to the menu now, you can write your system-settings.
