Re: Factory Reset

To do a factory reset on an MC-808, you press the SYSTEM button in the mode select area, then hold shift and hit pad 16. In the directions it says to cursor over to factory reset, but after poking around on mine it seems to default to the reset screen automatically, so from there press ENTER twice (...

Re: [D-70] What is DLM?

Leh173 is correct. Basically you can take a smaller chunk of any of the waveforms and loop it to make a different wave. It was an idea to stretch the usefulness of the sounds in a time where memory was limited, but because the entry and exit points of the created loop were pretty much arbitrary and ...

Re: Anyone own the new Roland A49 controller?

Thanks Sprockett I think Id be better off with the Roland A Pro 800 it has much more features plus a 61 key versuses a 49 key and has a power adapter available.Hows the weather out in BC? Definitely, the A Pro 800 looks like the better board out of the two for performing, much more versatile. The A...

Re: Anyone own the new Roland A49 controller?

You could buy a power bar with USB ports on it. Theoretically, that would solve the problem. Google 'USB power bar" or "USB power strip" and you will find tons of different sizes and styles.

Re: Roland R70 Drum Machine possibly broken

Re: "The PSU is not original, but that wouldn't matter would it?" As long as the power supply has the same specs - voltage is the same, amps are the same or greater, and the barrel connector (I'm assuming it's a barrel connector, as so many Roland products use them) is the same size and po...

Re: XP80 : Disk drive replacement/not working

I knew I had read something about this topic on this forum. http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=38377 This guy found a pretty long list of compatible floppy drives (because all PC floppy drives are not created equal), and the last post has a link for setting up a floppy drive to US...

Re: REAC Driver

Are these the ones you are looking for? http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/dld.cfm?PRODUCT=M-400 I don't have a v-mixer so I don't know if this is what you need, but Roland is pretty awesome about making their drivers available online. If it's not there, they would probably point you to it i...

Re: Problem of my Roland D-20

I don't know exactly how your synth will react. On a D-10 I changed the battery on the factory patches were fine after the change. Anything in user memory was wiped out, but you are already experiencing that. If your battery is dead, then I would have to guess that any damage has already been done. ...

Re: Problem of my Roland D-20

It sounds like your backup battery is dead. I don't think I've ever seen a D-20, but I have seen a couple of D-10's and I've been told that they are similar inside. Here's a pic of the inside of a D-10 I found online with the arrow pointing to the battery. http://ericschreiber.com/wp-content/uploads...

Re: Juno 106 Problem (advice needed)

Unfortunately, a stock Juno-106 has the battery soldered directly to the CPU board. To replace it you have to remove the board, unsolder the original battery and replace (most people replace them with a battery clip so it's easier next time it runs out.) If the original owner already dealt with this...

Re: 2-tier stand advice

I was reading through your post, and I couldn't help but aggressively agree with you on the Q-Lok stands. I went through 2 of them for a studio set up until I gave up and searched the used market for an old aluminum tube A-frame stand. However, you might want to check out the Ultimate Apex line of s...

Re: Power supplies for PK-5, HPD-15

I don't have info on the PK-5, but the official power supply for the HPD-15 is the Roland ACI-120c. That unit is a 120VAC in, 9VDC out at 1 amp and the barrel connector is negative in the center, so any power supply that fits those specs will do fine.

Re: Roland memory card M256E

Hey Gorky, No worries, you don't have to tear apart your card. If you look just above the Roland logo on the top front of the card you should see a small indentation in the plastic trim. That's actually the battery compartment and if you slide your fingernail in and pull straight up it should pop ou...
