Re: Love for the Jupiter 80
Loved your post, and your praise for the J80 Vlad. I think it was only natural for the naysayers, analog puritans, Roland-haters and other synth manufacturer lovers to slam the J80, but we remember as well, even others who found issues with the J80 way before they even had time to plumb its depths o...

Re: What synthesizers do you own?
The updated Soundworld 2017 list. Not many changes but still, oh what fun to have the Soundworld running on all cylinders and cookin' with gas! Roland SC-88 D-70 -PN-D70-01 (Global Collection) -PN-D70-02 (Special Collection Patches for SN-SPLA-01) -SL-D70-01 (Sound Library Set Vol. 1) -SN-SPLA-01 (S...

Re: Repository of Sound launched for Roland keyboards
Thank you cello. Splendid indeed to return to one of me old haunts for a visit. I suddenly have a desire for a nice spot of high tea! I just returned from an extended business trip to the People's Republic of China and the jet lag was rather severe this time. Either that, or my body-clock took quite...

Re: Repository of Sound launched for Roland keyboards
Ah, one of these days... It's been a while and then some since the Doogenator last visited the Clan. My loss! I hope everyone is doing well and producing some tasty waves from all of the new Roland goodies. Anyway, after the birth of my baby daughter at the ripe young age of 59 about a year and a ha...

Thanks lads. The little one is taking up all of my spare time, but it is a real joy!
And while we're on greetings and other such salutations, let us congratulate Paulo on his 4000th post!

Re: v-synth vs vsynth gt sound wise ? any difference
I have 1 XT and 2 GT's and end up using them all, but I think what robotunes said suits the discussion best...it really depends on the needs and the requirements of the individual as to whether the XT or GT is best suited for a particular user. When I built my custom Soundworld patches for the Repos...

Re: Has an era ended at Roland?
What a juicy thread...great posts by all! To be sure, era's come and go, and while we who have been at this for a while have had the luxury and the sheer joy of experiencing some of the most beautiful sounding and thought provoking analog and digital synth's ever produced over the years, today's mar...

Re: Supernatural Strings
Hi Damon and welcome to the Clan. The Supernatural sounds of course are stellar, but what really grabs your attention is the dynamic realism that is afforded the player. Some of the nuances and special little tricks really shine. All the best with your new Jupiter. It is still a heavy duty sound mak...

Re: srx and sr-jv80 cards
Sorry for the belated reply OB. I just saw your post. I have the SRX (SRX-06 Complete Orchestra) and JV versions (SR-JV80-02 Orchestral / SR-JV80-16 Orch. 2) of the Orchestral cards in my XV-5080 and end up using them all. There are some patches that I regularly use on the SR-JV80-02 board that are ...

Re: V synth v2: problem loading patches from net
There are a lot of patches using MIDI channel 7 instead of 1. That would be my doing Paulo! Keep in mind that both cello and myself worked on the "Stout Collection". I did the XT-specific work and then sent those to cello who did the conversions for GT. Most of the SoundworldA.D. patches ...

Re: JP80 sounds compared to the FA-08
Thanks for your most kind comments Vlad. Much appreciated. And your anecdotes about the JP-80 speaking to you when you played it were hilarious! I would agree that both the FA and the Integra present bang for the buck all day long. I like others, originally thought that the new Jupiter was rather pr...

Re: Jupiter-80 successor
Yet strangely in the keyboard world, while there are many who want the latest and "greatest" there is still demand among some for vintage instruments. Truth be told, I am no wizard like Quinnx or PiaKnow Guy or Andy Keys or the redoubtable Soundworld A.D. I haven't even exhausted the poss...

Re: Integra 7 Appreciation
For me it was the luxury of having all 12 of the SRX-Expansion boards together in well fell swoop!
And with tons of great sounds and the Supernatural realism to boot...well, it is just one heavy duty machine!

Re: V-Synth xt Price
I sincerely hope so Paulo. I'm glad that you at least got a decent price for it. Good to see that the V is still a well-respected synth so may years on.But I won't gave up and I'll try to be able to get a V again. Maybe an original V or a GT (2nd hand). :-)
Cheers,
Paulo

Re: JP80 - hugely disappointed with it.
Hi SoundworldA.D., Even on eBay, the JP80 is too expensive for me. Here in my country (Brazy) there are lot of import taxes and duties, you will pay 3 times it costs in USA. It is a real steal… My bad CS1! And here I thought you were referring to a JD-990 since we were discussing it as well. I unde...
