Re: Is anyone using the official roland editor?
Got a few observations that I would like to get some comments on to see if I am missing something... The official editor seems to load/read slow and sometimes hangs. It is not very well integrated with apps like Cubase. VSTs from Native Instruments (such as Kontakt) have much better integration. For...

Issue with VST Editor in Cubase
I have a strange issue with the Integra-7 vst editor in cubase 8 (windows 10) After I set up I can assign the integra usb asio and integra (and integra-ctl) appears in my devices list. I can also send midi through integra usb, I can playback midi to the Integra and record the audio on an audio track...

Re: Cubase 5.5.1
<t>It's been a long outstanding issue, Roland have been "investigating" for over 8 months - you can read into what "investigating the problem" for that long really means for customers like you and me... <br/> <br/> I just bought Halion Sonic and it is amazing, a software instrument that has incredib...

Re: VST Editor - SonicCell
I agree, it's a great sound.
For me, I need something that works with my DAW - not Roland trying to stuff Sonar down my throat. I wish they would listen to their customers, not their marketing people

Re: VST Editor - SonicCell
If you check out some earlier posts you will see the VST editor does not work properly in Cubase. Roland know about the problem and have been "investigating" for well over 6 months now....

Re: Bad Pool - Bluescreen
<r>Yes I agree with your statement. A similar (but bigger) parallel is when Microsoft updates from win98 to winXP to Vista to windows7, etc., Roland has to update, although it's Microsoft's fault for changing things <E>;-)</E> <br/> <br/> Of course Microsoft is HUGE and everyone has to follow, but t...

Re: Bad Pool - Bluescreen
If you look through this forum you will see several issues with the VST editor and Cubase. Roland know about the problems, whether they do anything about them is another question...

Re: Fix VST integration with Cubase 5
There are way more problems than that. You can check out some of the other threads for the details. I can't even bother with it anymore, I have purchased Komplete 6 - it works perfectly with Cubase. My Sonic Cell is gathering dust...

Re: Fix VST integration with Cubase 5
<t>Yes. It's even worse, it hangs cubase when you try to do anything (e.g. select a button in the VST window) <br/> <br/> If you are using it as a standalone sound generator then it's fine, nice tones. If you want to use it with any DAW other than Sonar (Roland owns Sonar) then forget it, buy someth...

Re: Fix VST integration with Cubase 5
<t>It is a little disappointing that we have heard nothing for 3 months. <br/> We can't really complain too much to John though because I have to say that he did try very hard to raise this issue with Roland. It does appear that at least in the UK Roland have some knowledgeable and customer focused ...

Re: VST problems in Cubase
<r>smiler, on my system they are stored under: <br/> C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 5\Scripts\Patchnames <br/> <br/> It depends on what version of windows you are using. <br/> <br/> Copy to the Roland directory and you should be able to load the patch script. It works very well, if I ...

Re: upgrading to SC...anyone who have owned SC and XV/JV?
<t>If you have Cubase forget it, the VST does not work. <br/> Roland Support in the US know about the issue but don't really care and are completely unresponsive (I would say clueless but maybe that's a bit harsh) <br/> Fortunately, there is a thread in UK forum that is tracking this (Roland Support...

Re: SonicCell no longer acts as a VST instrument in Ableton
There are several problems with the VST with Cubase as well so it's not surprising to hear other problems. I would *hope* that Roland actually do some testing and issue a new update if they claim to support VST...

Re: Sonic Cell Workshop PDF Training by Roland
<t>Well, considering the market share that Cubase has and that Roland promotes the fact that it is VST compatible then you might think it makes sense. <br/> Kind of like ignoring microsoft and just making your application available on linux, or apple. There's only one road from there, and it's downw...

Re: Fix VST integration with Cubase 5
That's correct. It's so SonicCell can be integrated into a DAW like Cubase. Unfortunately it does not work in Cubase 5 like it should do
