Re: Fantom expansion boards-to-slots Q

<t>I'm going to say no....because the slots are lettered XP-A, XP-B, XP-C etc. The software only reads the cards as per their slot location. So If you have a performance that calls up sound XP-A:001 on a certain channel, then it will call up that same sound location (XP-A:001) on the other unit no m...

Re: Inside the Fantom X - Interesting things about it.

<t>I'd like to BUMP this topic and raise Krokodilen's question again. I too am looking at how to load 30+mins load time of samples in less than 5mins on the stage before a show. Is some sort of battery backup the only option at the moment? What do you guys think would be the most efficient way of do...

Re: Compact Flash 2G: X6 Format vs FAT filesystem format

<t>Haha, Thanks. I wish I owned it! My coordination wouldn't be good enough to play this properly. <br/> <br/> That's about what my load time was with that many samples. It's good to hear from another Kingston user. I'd also like to hear from other users who have a different brand of 1GB DIMM, to se...

I'm open. <br/> <br/> I'm using Kingston 1GB DIMM, 1GB SanDisk Ex III CF Card, SanDisk CF-PC Adapter <br/> <br/> At the moment I'm using 255MB of CF memory with 2600 samples. Loa...

Re: Fantom-X Tips and Tricks

Another way to get to the end of the sample list faster is to switch over to Card, User or Preset samples and scroll, then switch back. This only works if you don't have samples loaded on one of these.

Re: XV-3080 and XV-88 questions!!!

Dang, $1500! Take it! I didn't even quite get $1200 for my fully loaded X8 in prefect cond. I'd reconsider. You could get an XV, and XR and a decent controller.

Re: Fantom-X Tips and Tricks

If you name and save a sample and then assign it to the keyboard, it will keep the name for the patch, you won't have to put the same patch name in again when you write it.

Behringer makes a Digital Sampling Converter, might be the easiest solution:

Re: Damper pedal and key on dissabling

Can't you use the Sympathetic Resonance effect? I know I've seen this used somewhere before, was it the Fantom G? I can't remember right now, my brain isn't working so much today....I'll let you know if I remember or figure it out.

Re: XV-3080 and XV-88 questions!!!

<t>A little late I know. The XV-3080 and XV-88 have identical sound engines and the same sounds, no differences. In fact, I think you could do a midi dump from one to the other like between the X and XR. The sounds on the XV-3080 are superb, and if you like them, you should consider it, because you'...
