The easiest way is to put the Fantom in USB Storage mode, connect it through USB to your PC - it will pop as an external drive - and copy all the folders to you PC.

It's a common warning on any USB-able device. I believe Roland does this warning for all it's gear...just in case. That's more like a warning. You should avoid it. Just make sure the G is not reading/writing data from/to the usb stick and you'll be ok.
