Re: Global Data Dump to PC?
The easiest way is to put the Fantom in USB Storage mode, connect it through USB to your PC - it will pop as an external drive - and copy all the folders to you PC.

Re: Never insert remove Usb memory stick when the power is o
It's a common warning on any USB-able device. I believe Roland does this warning for all it's gear...just in case. Generally speaking, you just have to be sure that your gear is not acessing the USB drive when removing/inserting it. I have also done this hundreds of times with my Fantom-G with no pr...

Re: Reliability Question...
I gigged with a G8 for a full year (and 2 years with a X8 before that) and never had a problem other then...a real pain on my back ;-) The G8 still sits on my studio and is fully functional although I haven't been using it as much I'd like. The Gs are built like tanks. Unless something real strange ...

Re: can you switch off the resetting moving from patch to se
I don't know if I understood you right. You mean when you move from Studio or Live Set modes to Patch mode? Meaning for example that you are in Live Set and want to edit a Patch? Well, this is one of the greatest things in the Fantom editing. You don't have to leave the Live Set to edit a Patch. Jus...

Re: Can you HOT swap your USB stick???
You mean you used the same stick to update the G? if so, make sure you delete the bin file (used to do the update) and format the stick again. Also make sure you do a factory reset on the G. If you already have your own project on the G and don't want to loose it doing the reset, connect the G to a ...

Re: Can you HOT swap your USB stick???
That's more like a warning. You should avoid it. Just make sure the G is not reading/writing data from/to the usb stick and you'll be ok.

Re: Could someone summarize what's "wrong" with the G?
For a start, why would you assume there is something "wrong". Yes, I know, you've heard a lot about it here. That's what's "wrong" with it ;-) I've used/use the G8 live and at my home studio (not so much as I would like now but that has nothing to do with the G8), it has a awsome...
