doesn't really sound right tho, it's missing that percussive attack and some other tweaks. see if you can make it better

SH-201 Setting Sheet
<r>Finally picked up my SH-201 today <E>:)</E> <br/> <br/> Only complaint I had was it didn't come with blank setting sheets (like we used to get with amplifiers to mark knob/slider settings) <br/> <br/> So I mocked up a settings sheet in visio and figured on sharing it. <br/> <br/> Attached is a zi...

Re: Juno-G taking an excessive time to power on
<t>I was experimenting with using the Juno as a place to store my tracks so I wouldn't have to boot up my computer. Loading up 7 or 8 full length songs was what took a while. I tried manually loading / unloading the songs as needed, but loading them take a good bit, plus it's rather cumbersome <br/>...

Roland TD-9S vs Roland TD-9SX
<t>Am looking to purchase one of these drum kits. From what I can tell, the TD-9SX is basically the same thing with cheaper toms and cymbals? The snare looks identical, as does the control brain. <br/> <br/> I'm assuming I could go with the TD-9S and eventually upgrade the toms, etc to the mesh trig...

Re: RAM sample memory question
pretty much yeah, you can pack your flash card full, but can only use 512MB at a time (about an hours worth). So if you have more than that, you'll have to unload/load them manually.

Has anyone sucessfully connect the Juno G to a vista 64 mach
Roland seems very pleased with themselves for putting out Windows 7 drivers, I saw one post someone asked about Vist 64 bit on the official Roland forums http://www.rolandforums.co.uk/forums/viewthread/367/#1728 It took allmost a year before anyone from Roland bothered to reply, and then they just s...

Juno-G taking an excessive time to power on
<t>I've been messing around with some Rush scratch tracks, mixing drums and guitar, then importing it into my Juno-G to practice with. <br/> <br/> The only method I've been able to work with, was to "import" the wav file as a sample, then insert that sample into a new "song". <br/> <br/> I messed so...

Re: Some questions about samples and pads i couldn't find in
sounds interesting. However no matter how many pads we are able to activate, we cannot exceed an aggregate RAM usage of 512MB
I thouight it was 512MB per sample, but it's 512MB *total* for all activated samples

Re: Some questions about samples and pads i couldn't find in
<t>hmmm that does sound interesting.<br/> <br/> just so we're on the same page, when you say "velocity" you mean "how loudly the sample plays" ya? (i.e. how quickly you push the key)<br/> <br/> my map discovery test was using the software triggers in Reaper and they go at a fixed velocity. <br/> <br...

Re: Some questions about samples and pads i couldn't find in
yeah i'm pretty excited about it too
the velocity tho... it's pre-programmed into the sample. so regardless of the velocity of the Note On message from the MIDI controller, it will sound the sample with the pre-programmed velocity in the sample on the Juno

Re: Juno-G backup via USB
<r>I think the best bet is to use the Compact Flash as intended for a "User Backup"<br/> <br/> Then put the Roland in PC-Card mode and copy the Compact Flash to an external location.<br/> <br/> That way if you ever lose/smash/electocute your card (or it get's sucked into a supernova... that's pretty...
