Okay. I've got all the drivers and what not installed. But, if I was going to use the librarian to select patches or performances to play, wouldnt I need to be in USB mode? I think I might...

Re: Juno G Screen Clarity/Quality
My screen has been 3/4 dead for about a year now. Since my synth is out of warranty and people who have had it fixed have reported the problem arising again, I just havent wanted to put down the money on it.
Now it sits in the closet collecting dust. Sad really.

Re: I hear a little difference in sound between SH 201 and
Well, I thought perhaps the USB compressed the output or something. If it isnt the USB connection, what would cause a loss of quality?

Re: I hear a little difference in sound between SH 201 and
<t>What exactly are you comparing? When you say ‘after sequencing’ does that mean that you say, record a single note and then program the passage? Because that could sound different when played due to key velocity- the sequenced version would no longer have that dynamic. <br/> <br/> The only other t...

Re: can i make a drum machine with roland sh-201 ???
Well, you can create percussive sounds, but it does not have a sequencer so you’d need something else to create actual drum patterns.

Re: What synthesizers do you own?
<t>Well, I must say Im pretty impressed with the polyvoks VSTi.. Since Ive never played a real one I cant really make a comparison, but as far as a stand alone VSTi I think its pretty good. The filter is quite nice, while I find a lot of digital filters tend to spit out some unpleasant tones in cert...

Re: What synthesizers do you own?
<t>good stuff guys! <br/> <br/> kristijan - thanks for the link! I'll have to give it a try... and while I should certainly wait to comment until Ive done so, I cant help but be a little skeptical. The VSTi might sound great but old analog instruments have a certain magic to them that digital emulat...

Re: What synthesizers do you own?
<t>You know I like the limitations of some earlier synthesizers, it gives them a certain character. While analog modellers are great because of their versatility, often a 'niche' synthesizer really excels at what it does or does it in a really unique way. <br/> <br/> I find the moog little phatty to...

Re: What synthesizers do you own?
<t>Artemiy - too bad you dont still have that polivolks man! Ive only heard recordings and never gotten to play with one, but I love the sharp, angular sound of it, and Ive heard that they are built like a tank! Its such a unique instrument and I hope to one day get my hands on one. <br/> <br/> dbij...

What synthesizers do you own?
<t>Synthesizer enthusiasts unite! <br/> <br/> I though this might be most appropriate place to put this topic, because I want to know- what synthesizers (of any brand) do you own/work with? Theres just so much lovely gear out there I figure theres gotta be a few people on this board with some impres...

Re: Juno-G Gig-bag???
I got an appropriately sized gator gig bag back a few years back. Still holding up nicely, plus I like the pouch on the front. Holds all the input cables and power I need, and its made out of mesh so I can do a quick visual check to make sure Ive got everything before I head to a gig.

Re: Roland SH-201
<t>Hmmm, yeah I take it back. The specs do clearly indicate the USB capable of MIDI and audio. Scanning the manual though, there is really nothing that elaborates on that. <br/> <br/> Well, sorry guys, Im afraid I cant help with that. I would again however suggest that if you have a soundcard with 1...
