Fantom G MIDI not transmitting

First time i am using MIDI on the Fantom G to control an external MIDI sound module (Roland XV5080). It is not transmitting MIDI. i have tried in Single and Live mode both. In Single, i set the pads to control MIDI tx channel. 5080 is set to channel 1. i can turn on all transmit channels on the Fant...

Re: XV5080 CC#64 Sustain not responding to FC300

well, the strangest part to me is when i hook up the fc300 to my Fantom G, the FC300 controls its sustain fine. and when i hook the FC300 to my AX Synth, works fine also. Then put it back on the 5080, and nothing. i will look at control values coming from the FC300 tonight. I'm sure theres a softwar...

XV5080 CC#64 Sustain not responding to FC300

I have an XV5080, and control it with an AX Synth. All functions work correctly, including the HOLD button, which outputs CC64. I bought an FC300 in order to change programs on the floor and to add a sustain pedal. HOWEVER, when I hook up my sustain pedal to the FC300 and set it to send CC64, the XV...

AX Synth not responding to Control Changes

I am using a Roland FC300 MIdi foot controller, and want to plug a sustain pedal and Expression pedal into it to control the AX Synth. FC300 is transmitting on Ch1, and AX is also set to Ch1. the built in pedals work fine, but I cant get the external sustain and expression pedals to work. The weird ...

sync samples to tempo

I apologize for my ignorance, and i'm not sure of the right terms. Here is my situation. I have several samples that are beats and other sounds that may go for a few seconds and are related to each other. i need to be able to trigger them from the pads so that, for instance, i have a beat going on p...

Re: Fantom G6 changing tempo when i change patches (favorite

thanks for all the help (I say this sarcastically). This is the 4th time in the 3 years I have had the Fantom G that I have needed help, and none of the youtube videos or google help topics covered my problem. I was assured when I bought Roland that the support system, especially in this forum, was ...

Fantom G6 changing tempo when i change patches (favorites)

I have samples across my pads sync'ing to tempo 115. I am playing 2 single patches on the keyboard accessed thru the favorites. when i change to one of them (937 brass stack), the tempo changes to 120. where do i disable that at the patch level? i want to stay at the tempo I have already set. Thanks...

Re: Fantom G as audio interface

So nothing from anyone? I was told this was the place to get answers about Roland products. s The Fantom G is advertised as able to be used as an audio interface. If I set the Mix In Input to USB I can get sound back from my computer DAW. If I set it to Mic or Line I can get sound from whatever exte...

Fantom G as audio interface

I decided to get rid of my existing audio interface and use the Fantom as my whole interface; however, I am having trouble understanding how it works. My setup is a Windows PC running Windows 7, 8 gigs ram, Core2duo 2.33 chip, running Presonus Studio One V2. I installed the Fantom G driver, which sh...

Fantom G Editor for 64 bit Windows

I am rebuilding my computer, and I usually stay several technologies behind. Right now I have an Intel Motherboard that is supported thru Vista 64, with a Radeon X series graphic card supported thru Vista 64 also. My recording software is Presonus Studio One Pro v2, which is supported thru Win 7 64 ...

Re: Export separate tracks to DAW

That's alright, I understand. There is lots about exporting MIDI, but it is interesting to me that it has been impossible for me to find anything (other than mixing down to a 2-track stereo file) about moving the separate tracks over to the computer. This would allow me to record while i am away fro...

Export separate tracks to DAW

I want to be able to do all of my recording on the Fantom G, then transfer the separate tracks, each as audio, to my DAW. The closest i can find in the manuals is mixing down to a stereo audio file, which isn't acceptable. And I'm not going to do it if it means having to play the sequence once to re...
