Re: FA 06 + FA08

Sampler section sucks, it's based on the SP404SX, no multisampling capabilities on these.

Re: New Roland Synthesizer Workstation Coming at Namm 2014

I noticed Secret Roland Agent is taking a hands-off approach and as usual Dan Kirsher and Roland staff in general are also mum regarding any new products. http://www.piaknow.com/Tom/hell-freezes-over.jpg There will be a new Roland workstation when . . . well . . . you know . . . More BS from Roland...

Re: Nice new Roland D80

Roland are the dumbest when it comes to explaining their past products, ie: the Jupiter-8. So in one of the videos, the Roland engineer, says the story was, that the original Jupiter-8 was a deemed a failure because it could not reproduce acoustic sounds. So that means every analogue synth and drum ...

Re: Official Roland Jupiter 80 Info Up

A lot of musicians out there still prefer to use a seperate synth, sequencer and drum machine. Workstations are for ones who like to do everything under one roof as in ITB on a DAW/PC.

The JP-80 should have been called Fantom V or the V80-GT.

why would anyone purchase one instead of getting an ebay G or Kronos for less????
It's not going to cost $3000 USD. It's going to cost 3000 euros. If you live in the USA it will cost you $4,266.
I wouldn't buy any of them tbh.

Re: Official Roland Jupiter 80 Info Up

It needs to be £1000 or less than it will cost for Roland to sell a lot. £2589.00 is what it will cost in the UK, and $4,266 in the US.

Re: Jupiter-80 videos

He says in video, expected release will be around august and the cost is 3000 euro, or £2620 GBP or $4,266 USD.

Tbh, if you take all the fancy colours away it would look exactly like a Fantom.

Re: Keyboard magazine leak

hoodenclaw represents exactly my point: nothing more then someone here to trash Roland. Let me clue you on some real world ethics: I moderate a forum for a type of rather expensive luxury car. In that forum you can complain about the latest model, whine about features but you cannot bash the compan...

Re: Keyboard magazine leak

Our take is that whoever did this is no less a thief than if they'd smashed a window to get in. We're still trying to determine whether we left the back door open or someone broke a window, so to speak, but stealing is stealing. Then Mr Fortner, i suggest you start investigating your own staff on t...

Re: Keyboard magazine leak

Artemiy, do you think i should also tell what was made in the Roland US R&D dept during the JP-80's development? But was shelved, because Roland in Japan said no!! Do tell! 1) No, because you wouldn't believe me, and 2) you wouldn't be interested in what they were. and... Roland in the Future h...

It would be interesting to see if the Fantom was patented as a synthesizer.
