Use of D-Beam
Has anyone every come up with a practical use for the D-Beam? I can't believe that it persists in so many generations of Roland keyboards. It seems to be a rather useless feature. At least there is some usefulness to the Time Trip Pad. Also, has anyone used a breath controller with their V-Synth (su...

Most likely the card itself is write protected. See http://www.ehow.com/how_6862370_remove- ... -card.html

Song Mode auto plays all songs
I'm sure this is going to be a newbie question. When I play a song in song mode and it gets to the end of the song, it automatically plays the next song. Is there a way to change this behavior so that when it gets to the end of a song it just stops?

Re: Can a whole song be done on the mc808?
Thank you for your reply. I'm not a DJ--just want something to handle drums and bass while I play synth. I like the idea of being able to incorporate samples into the sequence and hoped that a whole song could be preprogrammed. Sounds like it can but DJs prefer to mix everything live.

Can a whole song be done on the mc808?
I'm considering buying an MC808 and have been watching YouTube videos about it. I only find videos of people playing the same loop over and over and varying the sound a little with the faders. I'm beginning to think that this machine is very limiting. It has a song mode so why don't I see more examp...

Re: V-Synth in a modern computer? (Windows 7 64 bits)
Roland released a Windows 7 x64 driver. You can find it here:

I can report that you lose zero functioinality. It works as a sound device, midi controller, USB drive, etc and the patch librarian works.

Re: Question: Power Up Internal vs. PC Card Projects
I'm not entirely sure how this works but I have a thumb drive that I leave in my v-synth all the time. It has multiple projects on it but there is an INI file in the root directory that tells the v-synth which project to load. The INI is named " V-Synth GT Project.ini " and its contents ar...

Erick's Effects Patches
I've been wanting to use my V-Synth GT as an effects processor--especially for vocals. So, I programmed some patches that process the signal coming from the external input. All you have to do is plug in a mic or other source and choose a patch. There's 40 of them. http://www.mediafire.com/?33i5n46hj...

Re: Grand Nagus Patches (Fender Rhodes, Orchestral, Synth)
I'm unable to load this onto my V-Synth GT nor does it open with the patch librarian. The Librarian says: "This project could not be loaded".

Re: Can't find headphones with built in mic that will work
I ended up getting the Audio-Technica Pro 8HEx head-worn microphone, no headphones. It was less that $100 and works perfectly.

Angie, not sure if you can do this or not since you didn't disclose the model of your Yamaha keyboard. If that Yamaha has a 5-pin MIDI connection on the back (you may have 3 such connections labeled "in" "out" and "thru") then, yes, you can make the sound come from the ...
