A somewhat sort video of the minitaur and the jd-xi. I just got the JD-xi and I like it.

Re: Is Fantom X the most powerful hardware sequencer?
I think the best hardware sequencer ever is the Akai MPC 4000. The Fantom S and X are very easy to use. I have used many sequencers, Yamaha QY, SU700, RM1X, Korg Motif ES, Roland MC909. The Akai is easy to figure out, and has 4 midi outs and 2 midi ins. The midi ports give it the edge plus it can re...

Re: MC909 EXternal memory Bank Development 2G+ capacity
I would buy it if it was at or under US$75. Other than that I wouldn't need it, I seem to make it by just fine without it

Re: hidden tips about effects
Are you talking about effects other than the 8 reverb and 8 delay that are listed in the maunal?
If so, let us know who your source was for that information.

Sh-201 and Akai MPC 4000
These two devices work wonderfully together. I really treasure both units. Hopefuly more videos will pop up with people showing how they make there patches. I plan to create a few myself. For now here is a n example of Midi CC being transmitted between the SH-201 and the MPC. http://youtu.be/pKQrE1f...

Re: balanced cables
I have a VS digital mixer that I plug my fantom into, balanced cables sound noticeably better than the unbalanced. MY monitors are shielded btw and I notice that when I tried unbalanced cables from my VS to the monitors there was a loud hum. Once I used balanced the hum was there but much lower. I c...

Re: Korg Volca analog series & MS-20 mini
I am definitely getting the volca synth and the drum machine. I just want to mod it so that it will have individual outputs for each drum part then I will no longer desire a TR909. I really want to get my hands on it and see if the speaker can be disabled easily or turned off with a switch. The MS20...

Re: Xt impressions
Please let us know whether the functions that it has all work? For example in the original Vsynth you can't get it to work properly as a multi part instrument. It has the page where you can assign midi parts but it doesn't work. Does the XT have this capability? I remember seeing an XT for sale $500...

Re: Best grooveboxes for live and studio hip hop and dance
Akai MPC 4000...Yamaha AN200, Yamaha DX200 and a moog pedal. (or replace any of the latter three with a DR880). This should just about cover you and be under or at $1000.
