Re: Memory Upgrade?
No 512MB is the largest that the operating system can address. There are threads on MVNation where people have tried to use more… varying results but always unstable. RAM:- DIMM Memory Expansion Type: SDRAM DIMM, Unbuffered Slots: 1 Number of pins: 168-pin Speed: 100 MHz (PC100 CL=2) or 133 MHz (PC1...

Re: Possible Bug - Anyone having problems previewing WAV or
Easiest way to look at it is… Do you ever get the ‘File Unsupported’ message at all with the MV?
If you don’t get that ‘error’ then it probably doesn’t apply to you… but if you do get that message sometimes then…. does it happen at the time talked about above?

Re: Help! Cannot save project. File not found
There maybe some advice here:- http://mvnation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13691 Hope it helps. Edit: That link above will help with project recovery… removing the hard drive and reading it /copying it making ‘dummy’ projects on the mv to copy back and recover your own projects. But I now rea...

Re: PLEASE HELP!! - MV8800 Freeze at startup!!
As Juke179r says … may work.
It could also be a RAM problem (it can go bad)
Try running the MV's diagnostic mode/test mode . Press MENU+F3 while powering on. Use the Device Auto check and it will run a RAM check and other stuff etc etc.

Possible Bug - Anyone having problems previewing WAV or AIF?
Is anyone having problems previewing WAV or AIF files when using the import button using operating system version 1.01? It could occur when previewing samples already on your hard drive or from an audio CD or CD-ROM ? Getting "File Unsupported" Message ? If so report it over on MVnation as...

Re: sync Kaossilator Pro to mv8800 ( help!!!)
Could be a number of things… Take a look at the Roland Workshop doc 12 - “Using the MV-8800 with an External Sequencer” this walks you thru the various setup and settings. http://cms.rolandus.com/assets/media/pdf/MV8800WS12.pdf e.g. page 4 - check setting .... SYSTEM > Multi Timbre Sampler Mode > [ ...

Re: sort files by name or by type?
Is it possible to sort files by name or by type in the HD of the MV? In mine it's sorted by the last added. Yes, but it is a 'work around' to get that result. There are utilities that you can use to sort directly that will give you the desired listing. I have tried out FATSorter http://www.fenux.ne...

Re: mixer and mastering templates
<r>The ‘templates’ are inbuilt within the MV’s operating system. Those folders will be empty until you for example record in mixdown mode then the files will be automatically saved in the MIXDOWNTR folder etc. So you are not missing anything from those folders. <br/> <br/> If you do want to complete...
