Re: Any Push 2 Users?
Yeah works well, the after touch works too which is cool. Push is a well worth investment, the in-key pad modes are brilliant for compositions that you wouldn’t normally play on traditional keyboard format.

Re: EXP 10 Orchestra Collection
Have you tried playing an init synth patch (plain sine wave for example) on your FA to rule out any influences through your setup? I had the orchestral SRX in my Juno G, and while the output probably not as nice as the 5080, i'm sure that the FA sounds identical. I can't compare though, as i sold Ju...

Re: Difficulty viewing the screen
I saw a live hologram show a few years back and i was curious how it was done, and saw a video like this online:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P09TWAMLhE4 Wonder how hard it would be to make a box like that which also reverses the image (So it's correct again), to create a 'heads up' display for ...

Re: Difficulty viewing the screen
I've had to put a length of wood under the back end of my FA (i.e. across the stand) to tilt it forwards when it sat a little higher than normal.
Not a great longterm solution though, and not ideal for your playing hands either if too much of an angle.

Re: FA editor/librarian software
I had a play at modifying the integra plugin to make it work with the FA, i gave up on it after a while though as i didn't have the time BUT most of it does work, it just lacks EXP support mainly and is mac .component file (Audio Unit) version. If you use mac then give it a try:- http://www.getpatch...

Re: Arpeggiator in Studio Set Mode
1. Maybe your FA is set to external MIDI clock is why the Arp isn't working? It needs a tempo value to operate. 2. By using the ARP column in studio sets/part view you can assign which Parts will utilise the Arp. But, there is only one arp that can be used at a time on the FA, so all parts which are...

So the lock switch on your card isn’t accidentally enabled is it? Usually a little white bit of plastic that you slide?

Re: Unexpected Knob Behaviour WIth External Sequencer?
One is a Midi CC mapping, the other is SysEX mapping. Why the difference? Well the mixer uses SysEx so that it can directly control either part directly no matter which part you have selected, whereas the midi CC (sound modify) knobs specifically only control the part you have selected. ‘Which’ part...

Any record enabled or monitored track in a DAW will receive the MIDI messages that you send. Do you have more than one selected?

Re: D05 - FA-08
I don't think the D-05 is Multi-Timbral (i.e. it can only play one tone/patch at a time).
Or, are you asking if you can use Channel 9 and 10 to swap between and it auto changes the patch on the D-05? If it's different tones/patches at the same time, then no, my original sentence applies i'm afraid.

Possible you have a ground loop, are you powering the iPad via a splitter when you connect the USB? If so, that could be the culprit. If it's not a ground loop (i.e. you're not introducing additional power supply/earth into the equation) then possible to be general RF interference from the USB cable...

Re: Fa06 VS fa07
When i plug an 88 key MIDI controller into my FA-06 the dynamics and finer velocity coming from the external keys makes a difference to how my performance sounds when playing too. So yeah, it's just better keys believe it or not! Particularly when using sharps/flats. It may also be a subconscious th...

Re: FA-06 - software update or successor?
I don't think a firmware update is capable of adding this functionality. To give you an idea of how implausible it all is, Roland couldn't add one of their own EXP expansions without first providing us a system firmware update. (i.e. you can't put EXP-11 on a non-firmware 2.0 FA). So really, they're...

Re: FA-06 - software update or successor?
The fa-07 is relatively new still, so I don’t see anything more happening in regards to FA. It doesn’t feel dated to me, while I’d love to be able to add my own samples in for acoustic instruments, both synth engines are powerful and plenty of flexibility, and the layering options add to that. Plus ...

Does this also happen in an 'Init' studio set?
And if you are connected to any external midi gear/DAW - try without MIDI or USB cables connected.
Also ensure that chord mode isn't enabled.
Other than that, i can't think what it could be, other than a hardware fault.
