Re: SuperNatural Acoustic

I've been checking the SN-A list for the Fantom-0, and despite having only 70 Tones + 30 AC Pianos + 36 Electric Pianos and 25 Instruments, they seem to be a good representation of this special types of tones, except... the Acoustic guitar ones, that are completely missing... As I understand it... ...

Re: About New Successor of the FA Series

No very respectful for customers who purchased a product still available on the market and displayed on their website But what's the alternative? Should they have discontinued the FA a year ago, and had nothing at all between the Juno DS and the full Fantom for the last year? Who would that benefit...

Re: FRAUD: DON'T BUY EXPANSIONS IN ROLAND CLOUD!!

Hi, friends! Brian from Roland Cloud here. Below is a list of all of the content available for free for FANTOM-0 owners inside of Roland Cloud Manager. Interesting! To put one of those EXZ expansions into the AX-Edge, you have to buy a $20 lifetime key. Is there anywhere you can point me to on the ...

Re: No linear sequencer

I see, franc. And the request/desire is certainly not unreasonable! I'm just saying I wouldn't expect an answer from Roland, and it also wouldn't be all that helpful if you got one. So if you're looking for an answer, as you put it, "So we will know what to do with our keyboard," I think t...

Re: No linear sequencer

" It's always best to buy for what a board does today, rather than hoping for something that may or may not come in the future. If you need something a board doesn't do, buy a different board." You're right and ... you may be wrong: You buy a board with sequencer, based on what you know a...

Re: Roland Fa zencore

So, to have the same synth expansions on the Fantom 0 you have to pay 600 more and you still have no v-piano and have a really small memory (256mb) for expansions and multisamples. That doesn't sound like a very good deal. Even if you actually want all $600 worth of expansion, though, the 0 would s...

Re: No linear sequencer

An attempt to explain why I need linear sequencing; Certainly, there are people who do need linear sequencing, and would like it to be built in to the keyboard. Fantom just isn't the right tool for that task. Currently available alternatives could be Kurzweil PC4 series and K2700, Roland FA, Yamaha...

Are you sure they're free? Regardless of Fantom or other hardware... I thought installing the EXZ packs in hardware always required the purchase of a Lifetime Key.

Re: Roland Fa zencore

I've had my Fantom 06 a few days now, and couldn't wait to get the classic model expansions installed on it. Then I saw it was $150 each for a lifetime key, so yeah, I guess I can wait. Bit of a crap move by Roland at $600 for the set, and could very well be a deal breaker for some potential Fantom...

Re: Old Fantom G Product Videos & What Should Have Carried Forward Into The Current Fantom Line

I wish they would bring back the auto-voicing function that they had in the Fantom-G's ARX-3 expansion. It intelligently assigns all the component sounds of a brass section (trumpet, saxes, trombone) to the individually notes of the chords you play. Currently, I think the Yamaha Genos is the only bo...

Re: Importing from FA-06/07/08

Is much deeper than that... - Sounds list and addresses are totally different. - MIDI Specs including CCs and SysEx are totally different, in address and data structure. Yes, I said that sounds would have to be respecified when bringing into something else, unless he used GM and bring it into somet...

Re: Fantom-06: My first impressions

Exactly as the FA series. So the problem is in the keyboard built-in config (I was mistakenly calling it drivers) so Roland is the only one that can solve it. Then it goes to back my point: Roland needs to fix the _____ to have the keyboard class compliant, but I am doubtful... is this possible? It...

Re: Importing from FA-06/07/08

Dos anyone know whether or not it’s easy to import existing sequences from the FA series? Can this be done by simply plugging the USB key from a FA into the Fantom-O? I appreciate I’d probably need to re-jig some of the assigned sounds, but will all other sequence information transfer across withou...

Re: Fantom-06: My first impressions

I don't think that drivers can be 'converted' to class compliant as such. class-compliant means "no driver". There are no drivers in the keyboard. Drivers are in the computer, or other attached USB host device. The Fantom gives you a choice between using their own ("vendor") dri...

SuperNATURAL Acoustic tones incorporate modeling, making them capable of things that are not possible within Zen-core tones.
