Does adding the program changes solve this problem? It's as if the JS has a separate sound engine for playing standard midi files... I use the GM2 Template but it still only plays default piano on each track.... I don't get it?

Pretty cool to be able to shut off the JS and have the velocity settings remain in memory and actually play at the written value on power-up. The play list is also faster. The whole keyboard screen seems a bit faster.

I can try but my experience Roland support is pretty slow in responding. Thanks for the advice though...

Just thought I would ask if anyone has lost any of the bottom screws off their JS. Mine seem to be falling out one by one. Does anyone know where to purchase screws that are the correct thread and size? I have lost 6 so far. Thanks.

Also it is important, that no efects settings is transfered with patches to performance mode. Effects must be created again in performance mode. How do you transfer a patch with no effects??? I always seem to be stuck with the effects that are assigned to the preset or user patch when I create perf...

Yep cleaning the contacts definitely helps...temporarily, I Found the more you clean them the more they need cleaning... make sure you use 99.1% iso alcohol only. Roland will do NOTHING for anyone with this issue. You have to take to an authorized roland repair center and pay for a new key bed...get...
