the mc 808 is a nightmare! maybe korg will update it's app....... :-(
I have a solution, play the drum pattern into a korg gadget synth then transpose down 24 notes before changing to a drum machine or record sequence into a yamaha rs7000 and transpose down again.

Re: MC-808 as master, but sync only...
you use 808 in slave mode so you don't have to keep changing the 808's BPM?? and does the rm1x have a midi filter sectionto turn off note/pc/cc etc ( rs7000 has this).
....... as a last resort disconnect 808's midi out cable to rm1x :-)

MIDI out drum notes
I've tried korg gadget and I can't assign midi drum notes on the virtual drums pads so is it possible to change the notes on the mc808 to match a virtual drum kit?
MC808 needs to be down two octaves 24 notes down from c4 to c2 for example on kick drum....

Re: roland mc PATTERNS
hiya,
thanks for your reply :-)
It's only the midi sequences I want..... then find suitable instruments on the 808/rs7000 and have some remixing fun. I've never heard the native patterns before so it will be a good experience.

roland mc PATTERNS
Hi Everyone.
Does anyone have the factory patterns from the mc-303,307,505,909 in their mc-808? I would love to hear these files.
I don't have the time to buy all of the above, record the midi, sell all of the above.
Hope you can help.

Re: smplxxxx.wav format - where is the 'real' sample name st
<t>i've imported 5 samples as the FAQ says but how bloody slow................ <br/> I've also renamed a sample smpl0006 and put it into the card/roland folder but i cannot rename and save over the sample in the 808 unless you want to use up a patch ( or can I? ). Re: confused! are there any 808 and rs7000 combo users?
<t>I think the best way for me is to probably have drums/prc on tracks 1-8, bass/synths/fx/vox on tracks 9-16 (numerous note free templates)....then create patterns on the rs7000 and midi record when happy with my patterns. shame it's the other way round on the preset patterns (good soundsets at lea...
