Re: Librarian for V-Synth XT (Mac 10.7)

That's what I was fearing. Well, not "fearing", but you know what I mean. Crying shame, as after 12 months of an on/off relationship with my V-Synth (due to buying other kit/gigging/studio work), I was getting close to moving it on. THEN I got playing with it in more depth. And WOW. I can'...

Librarian for V-Synth XT (Mac 10.7)

Is there such a thing?

Really don't want to start using SoundQuest, as I've nothing but problems with it beforehand (once bitten, twice shy etc)

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

Re: V-synth XT clock source / arpeggio

Sorry to resurrect the thread but what if you put the clock source to USB-midi?

Not had any luck with arpeggios over USB with Logic. I'm assuming its user-error, but would appreciate a point in the right direction :)

Re: JP80 - hugely disappointed with it.

Interesting thread despite the ascerbic responses :D I'm currently looking at a JP-80 as my lower tier board (looking at this and the nord stage), to compliment my Kronos (I'm one of the rare owners with a fully-working machine :D ) for my live rig. There's no doubt that the JP80 is a monster with a...

Re: What synthesizers do you own?

Thought I'd add to this :) Running the following:- Roland A80 and Yamaha KX88 Roland V-SynthXT, XP30, Yamaha SY77, DX7s, Kurz K2000 (fully loaded), Korg Kronos (a fully working one :D ), Korg Wavestation A/D, Access Virus B, Akai S3000xl, TR626. My "live" rig comprises of Kronos, XP30 and ...

Re: Why is this forum not as active as the Kronos forum?

Hand on heart, not a single issue (yet). Granted I've got a 61 key and there don't seem to be as many issues with these. But in the event it does die, it will go back to either Korg UK or the shop, and it will be fixed or replaced. Two things to clarify: 1. I fully accepted when I bought Kronos that...

Well, if it's true, that's fantastic news. Not quite as good as sorting the problem in the first place, but a way forward nevertheless.

Re: Why is this forum not as active as the Kronos forum?

Mojo and Scooby..since we are all just a "Paranoid Muppet Show" why would you lurk here anyway? And you got "dragged into the bullying "title"? If the shoe fits wear it..and if reading is unpleasant for you then "dont read it" DUH!! and glad you have a good Kronos...

Re: Why is this forum not as active as the Kronos forum?

I think it's a little unfair to be branded as one of the Korg "bullies" (but am honoured that you felt it necessary to mention me in this forum!) - or so it would seem. I feel the need to just put the record straight from my point of view. Jahrome has had a TERRIBLE experience with his Kro...

Re: So who is the target market?

So....assuming you do gig: why not (briefly) state which bands you play in, what music styles and what types of venues... do you use sampled instruments?.. backing tracks?.., provide interval music?..desire weighted keys?..do you play one part or several?.. how many band members?.. a drummer?..what...

Probably look like the Kronos. Jupiter 80 looks interesting, but it doesn't do enough for my gigging requirements.
