Good luck! :)

Re: vp9000, saving formant setting (does the XT do that?)

Does the v-synth XT allow for such setting? thx in advance Hi there :) Sorry I can't comment on the vp9000, but on the V-Synth, if you have encoded the sample in a way that allows for formant shifts (like 'solo' mode), you can of course save the formant setting in the patch where you use that sampl...

Re: V-SYNTH XT: New Wine in Old Bottles :) - WHY XT OVER GT

it's always nice to read something so emotional about the V-synth. As a matter of fact, I have hardly ever read something like "this synth didn't touch me". It is something special, something I haven't been able to identify, that keeps me coming back to my V-Synth. It's not without faults,...

Re: Will pay for V-synth GT patches

Let me clairify my request. There must be V-synth users that already have made their own patches that can fit what I am looking for. Anything that sounds close to Gary Numan stuff(does not have to be exact but in the same vain). Also any patches that have pad/string melodic or Techno,Electronica,am...

Re: Will pay for V-synth GT patches

Hey there :) Programming patches for every sound from every song of the first 4 albums that sound exactly like the original might be a task that takes even a real pro several days. It might be a good idea to include a rough price you have in mind. If you say "500 $ for the sounds of the first a...

Re: Want your opinion...sell a V-synth 2.0 for GT?

I own both the V-Synth 2.0 and the GT. Here are my thoughts: (...) 2. Slightly better sound (...) Could you please elaborate on this one? There are two things that really annoy me in the original V-Synth: The values of the encoders jumping to the actual value as soon as I turn a knob AND the aliasi...

Re: I'm stuck

did you ever solve this? I got hold of a V-Synth XT (awesome, hope I keep it), & I'm playing it thru USB from Logic 9. No arpeggiation. I've read on the web that Logic 8 eliminated MIDI tempo output or something... There is a XT known bug that prevents Logic (or any other DAW) to trigger XT Arp...

Re: Best vocalizer to use with new Jupiter 80 Im buying

I can't really comment on the newer vocalists, but I hear they are great devices. If you really need a roland device for harmonizing, One of the VPs will do. All VPs (330,550, 770 and even the VP7), the V-Synth GT, the V-Synth XT and the Vocal Designer card for the original V-synths have essentially...

Re: Can the original V-synth do this?

Before I go and spend money on another piece of gear I would like to know if the V-Synth can do what this guy is doing with the Octatrack in this you tube video below. I tried messing around with my v-synth last night but I ran out of time. The guy in the video has chopped up the "Amen break&q...

Re: V-synth v2 question zones and projects.

Interesting usage, I never really used vocal samples (except some strange gargling noises). Maybe you just need some compressor and a little EQ? If the native PCMs sound more "defined", I can imagine they have been compressed, so that they sound louder. You don't need roland software for t...

Re: V-synth v2 question zones and projects.

Hi there, glad to hear it worked :) about your beat synchro question: again, this is not answered that easily ;) short answer: set V-Synth clock to sync to external: mode-button -> system -> Midi USB -> clock source to external. Do not forget to set this back to internal, or your arps (among others)...

Hi there :) Sorry for not answering, there is a reason for it. (at least my reason) a) you posted a lot of questions, and my attention span is a little short :) b) the zoning problem is something most of us don't understand either :) c) what was the question again? We're here and we're answering whe...
