You don’t really need midi drivers for any of Roland synths. Simple solution is buy a cheap usb midi cable and Boom! Any or all Roland midi devices will work without any drivers.

Yeah the X is a really deep synth will never be obsolete. I have the G but I'm now using the x again pairing it with an iPad, just too many possibilities.

as long as you isolate a single midi channel you should have no probs.
Its possible your other device maybe setup to receive on all channels or something
thus Master is also being updated on cc send.

I would check your setting on the other device and make a change there.

I think.. switching on REMOTE KEYBOARD option will take of most of it..
if not.. you would simple set the midi channel for each live set channel to ch1 and save the live set to be used with your controller..

should be some already set up in the orchestra drumkit under presets

One thing to check is make sure master fx is off.. this can effect the overall sound..
I have done this a few times and forgot about it.

NOTE:
Studio sets have their own master FX settings they carry with them
so always check this if you are using other studio sets.
