Re: SO EXCITED! I created a registration for No-One is to Bl

If you are using an iPad then take a look at the SetListMaker app What I am currently doing is using this app to send (pre-configured) preset MIDI Program Changes to the J50 (this can be controled by a pedal or switch in order send a NEXT [or PREV] MIDI PRESET message or you just touch the screen of...

Re: USING THE WNA1100 USB WIRELESS AND JP SYNTH EDITOR

Ah forget it :) I think I have now found out you have to be actually EDITING the UPPER (in that REG) for that current UPPER to leap into the iPad from the J50!!

Re: USING THE WNA1100 USB WIRELESS AND JP SYNTH EDITOR

OK having done some more searching, I have found the manual on WIRELESS and AD-HOC Mode So have set up J50 in Ad-HOC and set iPad to connect to it SO now I am ready for the EDITOR! However, once connected (J50 to iPAD) ...I can then use the READ function to copy in the settings for the current UPPER...

USING THE WNA1100 USB WIRELESS AND JP SYNTH EDITOR

Ok so mine has arrived...so how do I use it to talk to the iPad JP Synth Editor? Does the USB dongle have to connect to a local wireless network When I plug it into the J50 nothing happens so I am assuming it has to connect to something...I thought it might send out its own local wireless network an...

Re: Selecting the sounds...!

my wireless thingee has not arrived yet, but can tell you that my iPad set up running SetlistMaker is working very well: For each 'song' you set up /can create a series of 1...* MIDI PRESETS (Pre configured MIDI Messages/Change 'Patches' transmitting to multiple MIDI Channels) The PRESET config has ...

Re: JP Synth Editor is here !

App is great as far as it goes but only allows you to tweak the current patch (i.e. READ it in from the JP and then edit and save back on JP (New patch or Overwrite)??? There is no way to select NEW tones from the documented tones list or via an app dial...which would have made it far more useful to...

Re: Selecting the sounds...!

I am getting fed up with apps / gear that do not go together happilly... Got the Roland JP Synth editor App for my iPad , BUT it will not work from my docking iStudio as it needs the Camera connection kit to talk via USB to the J50 and NOT just MIDI in/out (which the iStudio can in fact do) The incl...

Re: Selecting the sounds...!

According to Roland Support not much to help unless I use the Free iPad JP Synth Editor App
This will allow me to choose sounds in the UPPER, LOWER etc quicker and create new LIVE SETS, REGs

Need to see if I can get it working with my iStudio Dock though!
