Re: Juno GI Editor Software?
Gentlemen this is all useless energy I am afraid. Roland will do what it will do and UK and US distributors are really resellers that is it.

Re: Juno Gi or Yamaha MOX?
I'm pretty sure the GW8 sounds are derived from the Fantom X range not the Fantom G. Quote from Roland's own description of the GW8 "Contemporary music workstation with high-quality 128-voice sound engine derived from Rolands renowned Fantom-X Series " Anyway RAZZ as you know I went for t...

Re: Duh! I mean: no editing of acoustic tones?!?
I ma sure there will be plenty of editing within the vein of the instrument. But this synth is 2 or 3 trick pony. But those ponies are champions. That is why the GAIA on top would be a great addition. Add a Gi, AX-1, RC-30, SL-20 and that new arranger box thingy and call it done. Roland rig from hel...

Re: Jupiter 80 under $3k
I'm impressed with the JP80. I actually played one when I was visiting Japan. To me the JP80 is the coolest looking digital synth (well...besides the Waldorf Wave). Musician's Friend (Guitar Center) gives a $500 discount for an item over $3,299 several times a year. That would make the final price ...

Re: Juno Gi or Yamaha MOX?
I tell you despite the added features, I think the Gi just sounds better and has better sounds to work with. That being said I was shocked when the GW8 got an overhaul in 2.0. Roland is so random that way. Just when you think something is a lost cause this will happen; or it won't. Why Roland WHY????

Re: Juno GI Editor Software?
Seems odd to me that they "have very little input" ? I wonder, did it not occur to anyone at Roland US or Roland UK to ask where the editor was for the Juno Gi? Are they simply box pushers and have absolutely no interest in the end user at all ? Isn't it what we would ask? In fact I did a...

Re: Is the original V-synth worth $800
Oh,, I had another question. I saw the VC-2 Vocal card for sale for $600. That is ridiculous. Why would someone pay that much for it? Can't you buy one of those vocal sound modules for half the price and then sample those patches into the v-synth and get the same thing. Or am I missing the concept ...

Re: juno gi versus gaia SH-01
Different ways of working but forget having anything acoustic piano oriented on the GAIA. Also I could not have a 37 note synth as my one and only. My Gi is kicking butt in all areas right now. The Gaia would be simply a slight contrast and a sweetener. If it were not for the third party sounds on t...

When it comes to Roland I could see either or happening. But how much more expense will the public allow?

Re: Will Jupiter-80 be a slow seller ?
It suffers form a few key issues. It is a true concept instrument, take the name and appearance out. It has modeling and touch screen, (A first first a roland rompler) buttons on the front dedicated technology, priciness. ect... Sometimes for Roland concept instruments hit big, The V-synth, the D-50...

Re: Juno Gi or Yamaha MOX?
Just wanted to add, should I also maybe look at the GW8? Isn't it the same as the Juno Gi but without the audio recorder? The Juno Gi is very different than the GW8. A much larger sound library, more live performance features minus the arranger stuff, Fantom G sounds, split and layers are far easie...
Re: advise.
Hey guys, I was right it was the volume knob pot. It is now fixed for the low, low price of $54.00US. Oh well it is fixed. the clipping is still there under extreme hammering but not the buzz. Thank GOD.
Thanks, RAZZ

Re: juno gi versus kronos 61
It's not even close to a fair comparison. Honestly, if you have the money buy the Kronos. It's a fantastic keyboard but way out of my price range at the moment. Happy with the Juno Gi for now :) I Have heard the Kronos live a few times and played it a few times as well. Amazing Board. The new Yamah...
