Re: Any ORGAN demo
Well, for live use, I just don't see myself pinching a touch screen. Of course that might change when I get it in my hands. If I choose the jupiter over the kronos (wich only the feel and sound caracteristics will decide!) I might be purchasing some small controller to make stuff like this easier to...

Re: Any ORGAN demo
There IS supernatural organs in the jp80. I remeber seeing somewhere how they control the drawbars on the touch screen...
It's supposed to have thos same organ sounds as their dedicated organs eg the vk-8 but I doubt they'll go quite as deep when it comes to controlling and tweaking them...

Re: Yamaha Ac Piano + Elec Piano CP70 + Hammond B3 – FanX
Is it possible once you have this stuff ready, to only load some of the instruments, e.g. the pianos, to save time if you only need one/some of it...?

Re: Yamaha foot control?
Just plug it in. All you have to worry about is polarity, and I don't know if Roland and Yamaha is the same. But the thing is, if it doesn't work, flip the switch on the pedal. If the pedal doesn't have a switch - a lot of roland keyboards have the ability to flip it's own olarity to match the pedal...

Re: Lack of posts a sign?
Well, just to give ONE simple answer to the actual question in the thread, the main difference here is that both korg forums and yamaha forums is actually both supported and even promoted by their companies. That means they have a lot more activity in general AND they're able to provide amswers you ...

Re: Jupiter-80, a Classic is born?
Music as a joy is a two way process: from those who make it and those who listen to it. Those who make it also want to enjoy in playing. That is one of the reasons why keyboarder buy new gear. Otherwise we would stil play an old M1 or a JV 80. Plus, some of us might even use it to compose some new ...

Re: ARX Diss Continued?
At least we can dream right? :D You got that one right. But trust me. Even though a LOT of people in here dream of that exact keyboard you describe, it won't happen. I have yet to see Roland make a "perfect" instrument. The JP-80 is close - but they just had to exclude the sampler and seq...

It takes me about 16 minutes to load these samples into the memory... Is this normal?

Re: ARX Diss Continued?
If they're dumping the arx why aren't they dumping the srx Well, I guess it's a simple matter of the SRX cards actually selling, and the ARX cards... Not so much... There are loads of machines out there that can take 2, 4 or even 6 SRX cards. The ARX cards ONLY work with the FG and V-studio wich ar...

Re: it just gets worse
There's just one thing about that theory that I don't get. Sound is actually just particle vibration in a hearable frequency. If you could pitch it withou the limits of a source (speaker or lightbulb or whatever), you could create visible sound. And even continue into heat (talk about warm sound!) a...

Re: D_BEAM SERIOUSLY????
If you see it as an assignable knob or fader that you can turn way faster, I see the use for it. However, it seems like roland is holding back on the ribbon controllers on account of this, and that is a little sad... :(

Re: Electronic Drums
it's quite simple actually. insert a midi cable from the midi out of your drum controller to the midi in on your Fantom. Go to Mixer mode and everything should work automatically, since they're both setup to play drums on ch 10. You can not do this without a controller, since it collects velocity da...

Re: it just gets worse
I think the problem is actually located elsewhere... While we freaks cannot wait to try out these new synths, lots of stores either don't know what it is, since they haven't got a date of arrival yet, or they just don't know how they should be any different from other keyboards until people start as...

Re: Yamaha Ac Piano + Elec Piano CP70 + Hammond B3 – FanX
I am struggling to get your sounds to load. I followed your instructions but all I get in CARD is INIT PATCH. I am having the same problem with joeri's Fantomas soundset so I am obviously doing something wrong. I download the samples to the ROLAND/SMPL section on the CF card I download the SVD file...

Re: Another Classic name used for a crap synth
Roland really needs to stop using the greatest legacy names for these synths unless they are going to recreate them not just use their names. Almost like they did with the SH-201 but better. Roland has thoroughly explaine the choice of name. No further explanation shuld be needed. Of course Roland ...
