Re: Build of JDXi

Just thought I'd chime in to say that the JD-Xi that I just bought has a very wobbly key that feels like it's about to fall off. It's exactly the same key that the original poster had a problem with! It's a second hand unit but it seems that the previous user only used it a couple of times. Bit of a...

Re: Ipad connection issue

I've found that issues with other usb midi keyboards are fixed by passing through an unpowered USB hub/splitter. This one is ideal: http://geni.us/gNW Apparently it works because the ipad doesn't provide enough power to some devices. Passing through an unpowered hub tricks the iPad into providing mo...

Re: Am I the only one who is so impressed by the SN Synth en

Yeah I believe the Supernatural Synth engine is also found
in the V-Combo VR-09, Jupiter 80/50 and of course the Integra 7. I read somewhere that there were more filter options in the Jupiter 80 implementation

Re: Am I the only one who is so impressed by the SN Synth en

I too am a bit puzzled why Roland aren't making a bigger deal of the Supernatural Synth engine!! It was one of the key reasons why I bought the FA-08. I wasn't aware of any other workstation keyboard with a virtual analogue synth engine on board other than the Korg Kronos. I think it's a killer feat...

Re: Help me choose between FA-06 and FA-08!

Thanks for the input everyone. I think in the end it was about 50% telling me to go for the FA-06 and 50% for the FA-08 :-P I decided to throw myself in the deep end and go for the 08, it's being delivered tomorrow :-D I only plan to buy one keyboard so the seperate weighted midi controller isn't re...

Help me choose between FA-06 and FA-08!

Hi guys, I really like the sound of the new Roland FA workstations! I've currently got a Juno-GI, which I like in many ways but is very limited in others. An FA-06 or 08 seems the perfect upgrade (supernatural sound engine, onboard VA synth engine, midi sequencer, sampler, more useful knobs etc...)....

Re: Opening up the AX-Synth

In the end I managed to get Roland to agree to extend my warranty to 3 years from the date of purchase and they covered the cost of the fix and sorted out the delivery. Quite impressed by their customer service actually! I had neglected to register for the 3 year warranty extension within the first ...

Opening up the AX-Synth

Has anyone out there opened up the AX-Synth? Anything important to know about what to do?

I need to replace my mod-bar and want to know if it's a repair I could do myself rather than going through the expense & hassle of shipping it to an engineer.

Re: Ebay: New Juno G has higher selling price than Juno GI.

But surely that price difference is explained by the fact that Juno Gi is available new in abundance, whereas a new Juno G (discontinued years ago) will be extremely rare?

Re: I modulated too hard... :(

I feel like I'm about to get this problem as well. In the last week, my mod bar has started "clicking" out of place if I push it on the left hand side, and I can feel it scratching against the plastic somewhere. If I push it from the right hand side, it clicks back into place and is smooth...
