Re: Problem with installing fantom g driver on windows 7/64b
My G8 isn't picked up if I connect it to any of my USB 3.0 ports it's only detected on the USB 2.0. I've just solved a similar infuriating problem but it turned out one of the USB repeater circuits developed at fault. How long is your USB cable? *Edit Also just noticed that the G is actually only re...

Re: Odd Issues!! automatic pitch shift!! auto patch change!!
Have you connected a wireless mouse by any chance?
If so I suspect this is the problem, disconnect it & see if the strange patch changing behaviour persists.

Re: Fantom G8 & Kontakt 5 MIDI Connection.
Ok I've just solved my own problem it seems as if I needed to select Fantom G as the device in Kontact's Options/Audio panel as it had defaulted to my PC soundcard.
Hopefully this helps someone else who get's stuck oneday......

Re: Fantom G8 & Kontakt 5 MIDI Connection.
* I have other standalone soft synths triggering fine so I'm fairly certain that the G is set up correctly and it must be a setting in Kontakt that's causing the problem.

Fantom G8 & Kontakt 5 MIDI Connection.
Hi guys been a while since I looked at USB MIDI connections on my G and I'm struggling a little with Alicia's Keys & Kontakt 5. Kontakt 5 & the sound library installed correctly. Fantom G selected for input/output in Kontakt's options as images below. http://imageshack.us/a/img854/8433/konta...

Re: New To Fantom
Yup as Jurasic said the samples are loaded into RAM, you can get upto a 1Gb stick of RAM to install into your Fantom if you need more.
There's no way samples could be played quick enough from a USB stick each time you hit a pad.

Re: ARX-01 & ARX-02 - cheap in US, but not UK
Correct, I'd like 1 & 3 but there's no way I'm paying the rip-off prices Roland expect UK users to fork out for them. It's actually disgusting.

You'd be better just posting your questions here for everyone to see, nine times out of ten you'll get an answer.

Re: chopping up phrases?
Yip, the function you're looking for is there for samples but has been omitted for phrases for some strange reason.

Re: chopping up phrases?
Make 2 duplicate copies of the original long phrase then go into phrase edit in each copy, delete the part you don't need (left or right hand) & resave them.

Re: hold chords on pads
I can't seem to make that work even with a hold pedal. You could play & re-sample the chord sequence then use the auto chop function in the sample modify menu to split it into & assign the sequence to the pads.

Re: Saving Edited Patches to G^ Problem
If you've imported a smf then you'd want to save that as a phrase.
Patch = The sound you hear.
Phrase = Sequence of notes/events.
Live Set = Group of 8 patches.
What is it you're trying to do this question is confusing.

Re: Is There anyway to stop G Defaulting to Single Mode Pres
Yeah I think I've seen that somewhere too but say I'm using single mode it still defaults back to patch 0001 & Pad mode defaults back to Sample Pad. So I need to select the last patch I was working with then change the pad mode to Rhythm then need to reselect the correct kit for the V-Drums to t...
