Re: Wait! No Multi Sampling to the keys on the Fantom ?
Real sampling, at least the level which would make most people happy, would massively increase the cost of the board. You'd need SSD and it's controller, all the editing software and a way to import/backup the hard drive. All for what, so you can load a piano or some ancient Akai sample? Making thi...

Mixer Automation in the onboard sequencer possible?
Sorry if this has been answered before. Is there any way to make changes via the sequencer to the mixer's volume / panning / chorus / reverb?

Re: Why did you buy an FA 6 ?
1) Tired of staring at a computer screen during the creative cycle. It's simply a drag. I work on computers all day. Last thing I want to do is spend more time on them. 2) I really needed a keyboard I could play with live without lugging a laptop and VSTs around. 3) Quality and versatility of sounds...

Re: Individual Outputs? How to use all FA features in a live
If you send your main keyboard sounds out the sub output you will loose all system effects (Reverb / Chorus). MFX would be intact.

Re: fa-06 vs juno gi with sp-404sx
Yeah. I am of the opinion that the advent of the FA series pretty much blows the Juno series out of the market. For just a little more money you get so much more.

Re: Individual Outputs? How to use all FA features in a live
I'm not seeing a way to have the pads go out the SUB output. It appears only parts have this functionality. Am I missing something? It looks like the only thing you can configure in the sample pads is under sample edit - effect switch on and off. This either bypasses or includes system effects on th...

Re: Individual Outputs? How to use all FA features in a live
Are we sure the FA sub out is mono? Everything I see confirms a TRS stereo plug. All you need is a splitter and your sub becomes stereo. As far as I can tell the sub's audio can't be adjusted much so you would either need to have a mixer in front to adjust audio levels or have the audio levels set i...

It should be a sticker on the back under the power switch. Might start with a Z.

Re: Help me choose between FA-06 and FA-08!
All true. All I'm suggesting is invest in a good quality 88 controller and you will have it for years. Workstation, controller, whatever but keep it for the long haul and then buy the rest of your equipment with synth keys. Unless you are classically trained and intend on playing mainly piano sounds...

Re: Help me choose between FA-06 and FA-08!
This!
I got a FA-06 and use a weighted 88 midi controller. Best of both worlds. Also, 88 key keyboards are expensive. Would rather just buy the 88 key controller once and get the more inexpensive versions of the synthesizer keyboards as I need them.
My weighted 88 key controller is the Akai MPK 88.

Uh oh. Did he fall in the giant whirlpool already?
I've now had my FA-06 for a week and am loving the workflow! So nice to be away from soft synths for awhile. I spend too much time in front of the computer for work as it is!

Back to Roland Clan with an FA-06
It's been awhile since I've perused the forums but I'm back in Roland land with the FA-06. So far loving it! I went computer exclusively for awhile but am really tired of going from one computer at work to another one with my hobby. Also, the workflow feels so much simpler. Yes there are limitations...
