Re: Does it have Supernatural EP?..

http://cms.rolandus.com/assets/images/products/gallery/jupiter-80_ss_e_piano_gal.jpg In my own little perfect fairytale world, a supernatural EP (or any other SuperNatural instrument) hold a lot more flexibility than that! You'll find far more parameters in Kronos EP emulation. You could find even ...

Re: VA-section of the JP-80: Supernatural?..

You can forget about those names and just play / tweak / hear.
You'll find interesting information in Roland 's Jupiter 80 "parameter guide manual" that will let you imagine the possibilities.

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

I agree with you on articulations, but ... I wish some variations were velocity sensitive, like the swirl on the trumpet for instance, or pizzicatos, or guitar mutes, I had to press S1 or S2 ... not very handy. I found some articulation replacing my playing I would not use them on guitars (struming ...

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

Some SN sounds don't have many parameters to edit, but it depends what instrument you are talking about. Yes. For details per instrument, it is stated in the manual, I was disapointed by the clav, e pianos, piano, guitar, trumpet, accordion, and many others. It's true for the organ. Of course all c...

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

SN sounds are not editable, you only can modify a very few parameters and you dont get very much different instruments for one category. This is not a surprise because it was clear in Roland's manuel (Parameter List). SN is not "modelisation", far from what is done with the VSTs I mentione...

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

Yes Paulo, I returned the Jupiter 80 for the reasons I stated above. The Nord Stage 2 is more suited to my needs and I can't afford and don't want 2 keyboards. First I tried and returned the Kronos because of its user interface. I use computers and VSTs a lot and I cant believe that Korg put such co...

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

Hi, Finally I gave back my (ex) Jupiter 80. I'll share my experience so maybe it can help someone. I was very enthusiast the first hours, everything is easy, logical, handy, and it sounds great. I began some prog to get the sounds I need to play "Superstition" (Stevie Wonder) and "Afr...

Re: New JP80 owner.....

Hi, Thank you for sharing with us your first impressions. I regret that there is such a difference of price sometime in the same country. I would feel betrade to pay 10 or 20 % more. The price should be fixed. At this time I went to Paris and got an offer 300€ under the price I ordered mine in my to...

Re: Jupiter 80 questions (Nord Stage 2 / Kronos)

Hi, End of search for me ... Thank you guys for pointing out some ideas I had to check. Also, having a good local dealer is important. I could not make a choice without. My shop is located in Nantes (France), named "michenaud.com", they really gave me the time to try the keyboards in good ...
