Re: JP-80 Version 2!
I had an Roland Juno Gi, it have only 2 MFX but they can work in sequential mode. I missed MFX in sequential mode a lot when I sold it and bought a Jupiter 80. 2 x 4 MFX with sequencial mode will be huge!!! Can't wait! The MFXs in Jupiter 80 will really shine now! On top of that, there are new filte...

The MFX in serial mode is what I wanted most! This will be huge for tweaking and creating sounds! Thankyou Roland!

Re: Buy or not to buy a Jupiter-80
Hello, I have a JP80 and a like to make songs for hobby. For me, JP80 is a sound source like any other acoustic instrument. I use it with a DAW on PC (I love Ableton Live). On a DAW a record the audio (not the midi) exactly as I was supposed to do with a acoustic instruments. Doing that I can have a...

Re: Some thoughts on the JP80 Synth engines...
I had an Roland Juno Gi, the acoustic sounds were PCM. And now I have a Jupiter 80. I heard both with an monitor heaset (shure) Even if you ONLY HOLD A NOTE of a an acoustic sound on the Jupiter 80 across all octaves, (not even using articulation) you can hear that each note is unique by it self, no...

Jupiter 80 and the "hidden" ANALOG FEEL option
Hello, Do you know that Jupiter 80 have an analog feel option on the super natural synth? Is pretty cool because it add some imperfection to the oscillators, when you hold notes there is a kind of a "organic" random cycle going on. Even a simple wave like a sawtooh sound diffent, not alway...

My Xmas song "original" remake with JP80 (+video!)
Hello! Happy Christmas! Last sunday I was trying to do something for fun with my new JP80 for Christmas. I had an idea to use the voices from my nephews with vocoders (because they don't sing very well LOL). In the end, I created a whole new musical arrangment for the lyrics of the song Happy Xmas (...

Re: New Jupiter 80 owner (and a thought)
paolofanin , congrats and welcome! I'm also a new owner, my JP80 have 1 week today! :) I am loving my JP80, the sounds are so good and easy to connect with my PC. Looking forward to hear your work with JP80 and your band. I am doing a Christmas song (original song using lyrics from an existing song)...

Re: Using JP80 with a DAW
Thanks everyone. Now that I've had the JP80 for a few days it was really easy in Cubase to use with MIDI. Both Cubase and Logic allow you to set the MIDI channel on a track to "Any". This allows the DAW to play/record all four of the available MIDI channels on the JP80 at the same time as...

Re: Fantom G8 VS Jupiter 80
Thanks for the update on the Patch Remain. I thought it seemed weird that they would take that away. Yeah, the problem is that I was not "testing" this feature as it was supposed to be used. There no big advantage changing the whole registration instead of changing a Liveset in the regist...

Re: Fantom G8 VS Jupiter 80
As I noted above, patch remain is also on the Jupiter. I'm not sure why the other Jupiter owner said otherwise. I noticed whats wrong. The patch remain only works if I change a Liveset. If I change the whole registration it doesn't work I think this is good enough for live performance since is pret...

Re: Fantom G8 VS Jupiter 80
JP80 is not able to change a patch (registration) while keeping the sound you were playing (I forgot the technical name for that). You should consider loosing that also since you play live. I think Roland calls it patch remain. I'm quite surprised to hear that the JP80 doesn't have this feature! Co...
