Mine has the same clicking sound, always had that sound as I can remember. Mine is two years old and not played frequently.

You can also choose to only sample the input (in this example the guitar) when playing along with the sequence.

You can record your sample while the sequencer is playing. Later on you have to put that sample on the right place by using the pads.

Yes, you don’t have to use the vocoder with the microphone, you can also use it as a normal vocal microphone.
