Re: Multiple breath-controlled patches in a single performance

Thank you kindly for your answer and suggestions, vespina! Unfortunately, none of this is practical for me, at least not in live situations. It seems I'll have to manage with having only one BC-controlled patch per performance and use an expression pedal for additional parts when needed. The option ...

Multiple breath-controlled patches in a single performance

I'm using Juno DS as a part of my rig for performances with a band. I'm extensively using a breath controller, especially for brass, winds, and other expressive sounds. I have programmed a number of custom patches that respond to my breath controller unit (TEControl UNI MIDI Breath Controller). Howe...

Re: Mixing EXP packs

Along with the multisampling support that was originally missing on Juno DS, I was hoping that Roland would introduce the ability to import and use at least two EXP packs at the same time, like the Fantom X could hold up to four SRX cards and had all the sounds from them instantly available. Persona...

Re: Sampling on the JUNO DS

Hi nelsonp and thanks for your concern! I had eagerly followed the situation with Juno DS 2.0 firmware since before it was officially announced by Roland, so I have upgraded my keyboard the very first day the update came out. Now I can say that Juno DS is even better workstation for live performance...

Re: Juno DS OS2!

I have just installed the update and ran a few quick tests, so a couple of words. First of all, I had no trouble updating the OS. I've followed instructions to the letter and previously made a full backup both using Librarian 1.0 and Juno DS itself. However, all my custom patches and performances an...

Re: Hi guys, 2.0 is out!

All right!! Thanks for letting us know. I'll probably upgrade mine during the day. Looks like the new editor is also released. So, it turns out I was right in my estimate about the release date. Their mention of February 2018 as the target and the screenshots on Roland Blog were certainly indicative...

Re: Juno DS OS2!

yeah, what I mean is Roland doesn't think it's so important to publish in time. Maybe it's just a management problem. Maybe the person in charge of the project is busy doing something else for the time being. I agree. Being such large corporation mean they can delay the release as they've see fit, ...

Re: Juno DS OS2!

If their goal is only to attract new buyers, why did they bother to "specify" the release date then? They've could simply announce the update is comming and it's features. The fact they've did mentioned the time could mean the update is almost ready to be released and it would be published...

Re: Juno DS OS2!

Since they wrote the update is scheduled to be released in February, I'm hoping it will be out these days. But then again, the last news about it was from January 25th, so we might wait longer. :(

Re: Juno DS OS2!

Simply, WOW! This update would bring everything that I miss from Fantom X, which I was using before switching to Juno DS. Many thanks to OP for posting that link. Can't wait!

Re: Roland please, software update possible?

I'm also using Juno DS professionally for live performances. I've bought it as a replacement for my ageing Fantom X. Regarding to sounds and features, I don't miss anything except for two seemingly minor, yet for me, very important details. 1) Multisample support . Currently, Juno DS can only import...

Re: JUNO DS/XPS-30 SOLUTIONS/WISHLIST

I'm using this keyboard professionally as a replacement for my aging Fantom X6 which was bought third-handed and wasn't stable enough for me anymore. In most aspects, Juno DS is a fine alternative for the Fantom, but I do have a few gripes about it. Most notable flaws for me are: 1) Juno DS, unlike ...

Re: Update DS61. DS88 to latest version 1.06

The backup function on Juno DS stores all the user data (patches, performances and settings). As far as I know, it's not possible to actually make a backup of the earlier firmware version. Theoretically, you could try to install an older version again after the later one has been applied (downgrade)...

Re: Update DS61. DS88 to latest version 1.06

I have installed the latest version of the firmware on my new Juno DS 61 purchased this summer, which originally came with 1.04 as I recall. I've followed the instructions from the link you've posted and it went smoothly. I'm using this unit for live work and so far I haven't experienced any issues ...

Re: What Amplification Are You Using For Your DS

I'm using Roland BA-330 as my personal monitor and sub-mixer for live performances with the band. My live rig consists of Roland Juno DS and Kurzweil SP4-8 at the moment. Both keyboards are connected to BA-330 with pairs of Klotz custom made cables and BA-330 is then connected to the main mixer via ...
