Navigate to your sound, press shift + favorites on/off button. It will open a menu where you can chose the bank and slot to write to.

Re: Ambient Tracks using a single Live Set
Another track. Probably as old as the other ones, but I only now got around to mastering it. 100% Gi. The only thing I did on computer was encode it in FLAC and upload. What I call HDR version with almost no compression, which I like better: https://soundcloud.com/sjgambler/first-steps-original What...

Ambient Tracks using a single Live Set
A mix of self-promotion and demos. Every one of these tracks was recorded on Gi, in real time, using only one Live Set. All the variations in sounds came from knobs, velocity, mod lever, pitch bend and so on. One of them uses an expression pedal (EV-5), some of them used hold pedal, but those are th...

I have a laptop with Linux Mint for stuff that requires Linux.
Sorry for super-long response time.

What do you mean by "remap", specifically?
I really need to download your app and maybe contribute something, but it's hard to break through my dislike of C...

LFOs - they control many internal sounds
I just realized that a lot of morphing and pulsing sounds on the keyboard are not sampled or controlled by some mysterious inner parameter, but rather modified by one of the two LFOs. So you can change their rates. Sometimes they are just filter sweeps or panning, so you can disable them by turning ...

Re: stutter synth knob?
Could you give an example of what you call "stutter effect"?
Re: patches
More sounds. BTW, a lot of them have various "features" assigned to bend, modulation and aftertouch (whcih I mapped to D-Beam). Ambient and orchestral stuff sometimes has velocity-sensitive layering. It would be nice is someone shared some custom arps too. Currently, I am too lazy to make ...

Re: V-Synth vs JP-8080
Thanks for the info. I decided to do exactly what you said - buy V-Synth cheaply and see for myself whether I like it.

V-Synth vs JP-8080
I have a JP-8080. I like its sound and ease of programming, but I'm thinking of swapping it for V-Synth (not GT). I've heard that the subtractive part of V-Synth sounds pretty much the same as JP-80x0. Is that right? Does that include clicks and aliasing? Also, would I be loosing much in terms of im...

Yes, you need to use Split button and then assign arpeggio/chord memory to either lower or upper part using the corresponding menus/buttons.

Re: Digital vs. analog question
About high frequencies. How far up the spectrum can you hear anything at all? http://onlinetonegenerator.com BTW, this makes me wonder, why the hell do we not have a tone generator, an "oscilloscope" and a spectrum analyzer on every modern workstation? And additive synthesis? Those would b...

Re: Digital vs. analog question
Not directly on topic, but still good intro to the subject of digital audio: http://www.xiph.org/video/vid2.shtml That said, I don't think it's about frequencies at all. We're not talking vinyl vs CD, we're talking about a musical instrument. It's entirely possible that analog synths have more desir...

Re: Roland AIRA
Pure analogue was the 20th Century way, hence the instability of the Oscillators and difficulty to control them. I know that is by some purists it is considered as a good thing and as vintage, but IMO it doesn't make any sense to produce boards that way now, as the technology evolved and Digital / ...

Re: Black and white keys - different velocity values
So, for you, I don't think their is anything "wrong" with your Juno-Gi, it's just that the Juno-Gi is the wrong instrument for you. This kind of response, phrased in a different way, could be helpful when someone was shopping for a new keyboard. Here it just sounds like "The product ...
