I thought I should follow up.
I changed my midi setup to only using the USB. Now the Fantom keys can play and it also plays from the DAW/computer.
I am not sure why this did not work with midi cables.
Oh well - this is fine!

Ok - I have local on so that is not the issue. When I hook up my Fantom 7 through midi to my computer. I can play from the DAW. No problem. But then the keys do not work when I just want to play from the keys. Is this a glitche with the last operating system update? Is it because I am not using the ...

After watching this youtube video, I took some of the presets I did not like, substituted sounds and saved them as favorites, like the first four - so it would be easy to switch in live playing.

Just opened my RD88. And wow wow wow. I have had a lot of rolands for live work and this is the best yet, considering the weight, the action, the sounds. And frankly a lot of the sounds are top notch. Sure it is plastiky - the case anyway - but that is what makes it great. It only took about 3 minut...

I had no idea there was an editor for the RD2000. Fantastic. Is there one for the newest Fantoms as well?
