Upgrade from JX-305
What would be a good modern upgrade from the jx-305, that provides superior sound quality, and has an easier to work with sequencer? Must be some keyboard/s that'd be a 'definite' improvement, except for see below: I think I'm gonna have to sacrifice the 305's pro build quality, and the solid keyboa...

Recording the jv-1010 on JX-305's sequencer?
The jx-305's manual shows how an external synth can be played from within the jx-305 by assigning it a bank # on the jx via midi. Only managed to hear the jv'1010 from within the jv1010 itself after connecting it to the jx-305, connected via a midi in/out. Can anyone help with successfully recording...

JX-305 entire User bank suddenly gone, incl recordings
This sux. I just lost months of recordings saved to a Roland JX-305's user bank, can't believe this. That user bank is currently totally gone, including all songs and patches. It happened seemingly out of the blue. The synth now displays the message "Caution! Memory damaged!" when turned on...

JX-305: Recorded part keeps responding to patch changes
How can I change to a different patch, without the currently selected part or recorded material having a patch change to the new one at the same time? Say if I've recorded a piano patch, then want to add a different patch on top of the piano patch, then when changing patch the piano changes to that ...

Re: Trying to record on a JX-305
Alright, I guess my question has changed slightly. I managed to record, but. Strangely only after setting the metronom to on during 'both' recording and playback. Another caveat is that nothing will record without the JX-305 shoving this dance beat down my throat that I only manage to record over. I...

Re: Trying to record on a JX-305
Another thing while at it. When pressing one of the buttons that light up when pressed (such as record, ptn/song, tempo & record etc) I can't seem to switch them off/get out of them. The manual states press the button in question a second time to switch it off. Well, that doesn't happen in my ca...

Trying to record on a JX-305
Ok, so I just got a jx-305 with the intention of using its sequencer. I'm starting to worry that I've been duped, as I can't seem to get it to work. As per the manual I press "record" and select recording parameters. Then I select a part and a patch. 2 things have happened so far at this s...

Re: Does the JV 1010 have ADSR envelopes?
Hi, I did download the sounddiver a while back, but all I got was an annoying babylon toolbar and websearch that's extremely persistent (have even deleted registry keys for it that I could find, opening a new tab or window still defaults to its menacing search page). So no sound diver. I'm trying at...

Re: Does the JV 1010 have ADSR envelopes?
The sustain of no-replies on this forum is clearly working well. Can't believe how a simple, straightforward question about a device relevant to the forum gets ignored as if something totally unrealistic was asked. Not like the Korg forums, he he, that are almost always full of users willing to answ...

Does the JV 1010 have ADSR envelopes?
I've looked some at the manual pages about editing, but I don't think they mention ADSR envelopes, but do mention effects, reverb and such. I need to get a longer release on a piano patch. I've heard of the computer based patch editor for the JV 1010 but searching google didn't turn up more than oth...

JV 1010 drum patches?
After I finally managed to find many different styles of presets on the JV 1010, I still haven't found the drum patches. I have tried most bank, channel etc selector combinations, including one that says 'rhythm', but haven't found a single drum patch. Are they scattered over several banks, or colle...

Inter connecting Jv-1010, Korg Nanokey, Audio in and laptop?
I have the JV 1010 module, a Korg nanokey, a Presonus Audiobox USB sound card/box and a computer, and have been trying to connect them together so that the nanokey will trigger the JV 1010 via the computer. Here's how I plugged them together which ended up not working, although the Nanokey and the A...

Roland JV-1010 midi keyboard patch changes
So I've plugged a midi keyboard to the JV-1010 with a midi cable going out from the keyboard and in on the JV. Some strange things going on here. When selecting patch it seems not possible to select a patch and then play it/hear it on the keyboard. Though selecting performance seems to yield sound, ...
