Re: SUPERnatural Accordion

This is of course a very difficult question, as "quality (reality) of sound" is mostly a matter of personal taste. Real accordions even don't sound all the same so it's not easy to say that this or that synth has the best accordion sound. I do know however, owning one, that the SN sounds f...

Re: V-Synth - add memory and how to do I upload new patches?

I think there is no way of expanding the memory. But you can use CF cards to create complete new projects.
Maybe this Youtube clip can help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntDk4U2vaRI

It's only a unit with mini keys that visually matches with the Boutiques. Any other master keyboard is better...

Re: GT expression pedal

It's just marketing. I don't see any reason why you should be afraid. The only thing with pedals is the polarity that can be different but I have never been in trouble with that.

Re: Easy Channel Change Controller?

You could also opt for something like the MidiHub. A fully programmable midi interface (no computer needed after programming) that can route from anything to anywhere based on almost anything.

Re: Hold a sound

CC 64 = Hold1, as used with sustain pedals. Values 0 to 63 = off, 64 to 127 is on.

Absolutely yes. The instruments I mean, not the manuals... ;-)

Re: Does V-Synth and GT have the same sounds?

I only have a V-Synth v2 so I'm not sure but I guess the GT has different factory sounds. If I recall well, the GT basically is a double V with some extra features so it would be strange they just kept (all) the "old" V sounds.

Are there even batteries inside? If so, I would remove them if you are using an adapter anyway.

Re: Audio routing questions.

About Q1; I remember that I came across the same problem a long time ago already but I don't know if I found a solution inside the V-synth. It looks normal that a (standard) microphone input will be monaural so I think you will have to split that mic output into L/R with an adapter (cable). Or feed ...

It's a strange question.
If you are using it, you obviously need it. If you are not using it, sell it.

Re: NEVER AGAIN A JUPITER

You are right in saying that Roland has a history of making promises on future enhancements without ever committing to them. The same occurred with the V-synth. Only two extension cards were made for that, right from the start and then... nothing. But that doesn't mean that the V-synth is worthless....

Re: V-Synth v2 display isn't working, help needed.

The V-synth service manual (to be found somewhere on this forum, uploaded by a valued member) has two numbers: (I don't know which one to use)

03121112 DISPLAY ESCT

72230178 LCD ASSY
Note: Replacement LCD ASSY should be made on a unit base.
