Whilst I'm still saving for one (fantom G6) Im finding the lack of them on the used market is giving me more time to consider oth...

Edit looking around the web. It would seem that failing screens are a bit of a common problem with the G's. At least on the gearsluts forum they are!

Hi all. I'm thinking of puchasing a fantom G6. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but im sure I read somewhere that the G series had suffered from dying screens/displays. Is this correct? If so, how much would it cost to replace it and is it a diy job?

Ok mate. This is why I hate using computers (unless it's a really expensive purpose built one, and that's not all ways guaranteed)
to work 100%) for music. Im all hardware myself. I cant be doing different audio drivers, cpu speeds, ram size and stuff like that.

Have you sorted your multi issue out. ?

Have you set the fantoms midi receive channel to match that of the other keyboard. That is (for example) set the sending synth to transmit on midi channel 2 and set the fantom to receive on midi channel 2 as well you can if course set the midi channel numbers to anything you want so long as they match

Hi forks. Thank you for your help. I have the vstream polymoog vox Humana samples on a compact flash card for my old fantom x6. I am considering buying (in the near future) a fantom G and was jist wondering if these samples would work ok once loaded into one!
